The weapons mounts design took more out of me tonight (this morning?) than I thought it would. I did get this far though. I have to get pipe in the right size cut into the right lengths and drilled for the support tube that will go through it and, of course, finish the right side mount but overall shaping up nicely.

Anyway, Pics, anyone?
The fit with the carapace on astounded me that, with little to no planning, actually fit very good. I did find one flaw in the main hull that I had to correct while fitting this into place even although it set me back an hour it still came out good.
I also realize that I am not too happy with the fit of the inner upper carapace armour. It doesn't appear to match up too well with the inner lower carapace armour. Well, short of remaking it entirely I will have to deal with it.

Looks great coming together. I wouldn't fret too much about the carapace. Still not quite gettign how the arms will attach, but I'm sure you got it all planne dout!

Neither do I, which suually leads to a lot of swearing  . I've got my mind set on a warlord, and I think I may step away from my 'no planning 'policy for that one. I cursed plenty on my modified stompa, and I don't think my wife will appreciate any more loud (very loud) swearing, especially since our son starts to repeat everything we say

So my FLGS gave me a christmas present this year:
Here are some new pics of the Reaver. Seems to be going slower and slower. Used the new Rockwell Bladerunner to cut the pipe:
Gotta put a cap on the top and bottom of each pipe and then set up the shoulder pads and weapons magnets themselves. Thats for tonight.

Finecast, got him a base already but I ain't feeling it too much. Gonna redo it it before I post it. Also, sliced my thumb open like a cod fillet yesterday. Wife has banned me from using the knives until we are sure this isn't gonna split open again. Of course, probably not gonna listen to that...

It really is much deeper than it looks. I am lycky to still have then end of my thumb.
I actually cut my thumb twice and another finger once yesterday morning. I must have been tired while I was trying work.

Ahhh Crap! I just did that 3 days ago! But nowhere near that bad! I had just changed the blade in a kinfe that had been dull for years...I had been using it as a pry bar, so I guess I forgot that is was sharp. It's almost healed now. I suggest sealing the cut with superglue! Hurts like a but you can get back to the hobby faster! Good luck!
