In the video he says they have stock of the models already in hand except the buildings, so I wasn't expecting wave releases- just preorders June 1 and regular sales July 16...

It's crazy how small most of those units are with that kind of detail. There is very little loss in detail from a 28 mm heroic models that Games Workshop produces and these models that are just over a third of the size. When looking at how big these units would be on the table top I'm just now realizing that it would be very easy to fit several hundred comfortably on a 6'x4' table.

I know, and this makes me wish we knew some of the rules. So I can start planing on building a gaming table

Well you can always use some hills so you could start there. Best to wait to see how the rules treat buildings and cities before getting too far on those.

I have it in my head to make a refinery/plant next to some water effects. I had a N gauge model railroad layout in the basement(mostly just for my toy dinosaurs to destroy)when I was a kid and this game is making me wish we never got rid of it.

Another cherry picker turret. Hadn't realized the colonial HBT had them too. Hopefully it gives some cool advantage. Its possible colonial and scourge use the same main gun - they look somewhat similar.

I've been loving these pics, I've chosen the United Colonies of Mankind, but will need to see some prices before picking up another game...

I recall something about scourge as a virus, that take over a host and adapt the technology of that race into there army. (kind of like the flood, from halo)

That tank is 5 cm long. That's about two thirds of your pinky. The level of detail on these things is continually just blowing me away.

I love the UCM vehicles, you can see they make sense unlike many manufacturers who just randomly put some tanky bits together.

The Gladius Looks Awesome!

I don't like the Gladius as much as the Sabre. Since the height and width is the same, the added length of the hull doesn't look as good.

These all look really nice but with no info on pricing or game play etc its a bit of a risk.

I do wonder why they are only saying advance order at this date without even so much of a hint of pricing, gameplay etc to encourage more people to pick up the game. Yeah the mini`s are nice but its not enough of a selling point when there are so many other games all ready out there

Been following this for a while and I'm really excited for the release date; definitely looking at Shaltari Tribes or PHR.

It might be useful adding the little blurb that comes with the twitter picture as it gives a little insight and flavour into how the game and units might play. Examples:

"Scourge Desolator: Armed with the deadly and indiscriminate Ion Storm Generator superweapon! Beware of friendly fire!"

"Scourge Prowlers - These things can inject tanks with white hot plasma, immolating the unfortunate crew! Nasty... "

I noticed earlier someone tried to list a number of possible differences between the factions, one of which was the scourge having two different troop types. Whilst I can't comment on the scourge the PHR clearly have two different infantry types; Immortals (5 per base) and the "Siren Corps" (3 per base, BoW video 1:44)

As for speculation about not wanting to advance order without pricing details this is again from their twitter feed:

Although I can understand the frustration of wanting to know in advance I can appreciate (and applaud) that they want to put out a polished product. Hopefully when the site goes live we'll have all the answers we crave. Until then I'll enjoy the advent calendar approach

Also scrap what I said about the scourge second troop type; in the video at 3:08 there's clearly a infantry base with three models on it... Difficult to make out... They sort of look like crazy snails...

I didn't have a problem with the design of the Prowlers before, but this blurb paints them in a disturbing new light.

Also on the video (3:31) the UCM Bear APC separates two groups of infantry units. By the spacing it seems like both have five models per base but they could be unique unit types, a sort of commando unit if you will, otherwise I'd see no need to display four bases of legionnaires... This is becoming a bit of an obsession...

Anyone reading who went to Salute and saw the displays care to comment? I'd appreciate it!

I think it was in the video interview from Salute. He mentions that at the start they will be releasing pre-built, balanced armies to get people started so they don't need to worry about buying the wrong models to start with. I would assume this means that the pre-orders will be these pre-built armies and the rest of the models will come out as time goes on.

Considering that the Scourage supposedly ousted the UCM off of Earth and likely stole or reprocessed some technology.

What video are we talking about? BoW only seems to have static posts, unless I'm missing something.

There is a video in the OP, probably that one? I haven't re-watched it yet so I'm not sure.
