Another brother is added to the fold, and what a sexy looking brother he is, in a murdery sort of way.
Also watching WILTY whilst building dreadnoughts does make the experience a lot more enjoyable, although having body shaking laughter while holding super glue or a hobby knife may not be the best thing to do.

I spent about three hours just putting the Death World Forest layer on these 20 scouts, plus the black on 2 of them. One guy had a massive gap between his arm and torso, fixed it with green stuff so I had to put him on hold to get a quick spray tomorrow.
I looked at my current scouts and thought it was a little weird that they have camouflage clothing over their legs and arms, but their torsos are standard raptors OD Green, which sort of negates the effect. So I've done 10 of the 20 in death world forest all over the clothing and the armour, leaving the right shoulder for the 10th company black. So now I've justified the fluff as having those 10 fully equipped, and the ones in standard green carapace have taken damage to their original camouflaged carapace as the campaign has worn on, and have had to get a new set from the armoury without time to properly prepare the armour for the current war zone.
I'm gonna try and finish them by the end of Saturday for the dakka dakka unofficial painting challenge, but if I could finish them by Thursday afternoon for the local GW's gaming night that'd be even better.

Also did a little freehand sergeant marking.

So I built the dreadnought arms, and found one was missing the arm joint. The people at forge world were kind enough to send me a whole new one, which was pretty cool, plus the second casting had far less pronounced mould lines, so that was good. I tried him and the ironclad in a game recently alongside a Lias Issodon bomb. They all sucked, but they're units that really need some space to move and we were playing 8,000 points total between the 4 of us on a 4x4' table, so I'm not too disheartened.

Finished the first scout, pretty happy with him.

Those scouts look pretty cool, and now I'm sad I didn't manage to get my hands on a MKIV dread...

I tried my hand at the Warhammer TV power sword. Duncan makes it look so easy but after two scrapped attempts this is the best I could do. It's not absolute trash like the first two but I'm still gonna wince when I put it down on the table. I think I managed to get a better consistency for the glazing on this one but he makes the transition of colour look so easy to achieve when it really isn't. Also I need new brushes, every brush I have is either ruined or on its last legs. So yay for spending more money I guess.
