After all this time I got down to actually taming...so past two days....
At Hoth Taming Rebel Base.....I tamed a 14 female Mammoth and named her "Momma"

You can fit a mammoth on a ordinary raft....sideways....also they can swim really well and some serious stamina....some asshat had that shoulder flying lizard on roam and aggressive mode....damn thing hit like a US Drone. so Momma went for a swim and I had to go with her...then swim back and get the damn raft....Exodus Ship Hauler.....with support from Exodus Ship Aquaman

The Brat Pack I ran back to Mining Station Zebra at Far's Peak....from the Sand Bar at the waterfall in N3 (Hoth Taming Rebel Base. Just on the verge of crossing Snow Bio)

We finally got Southern Outpost FoB running with one recruit....Argent Quin is performing daily shipments of metal there....

We finally have a pair of Rex's but.....provisions for the baby rex is being stock pile right now.

Pfft, I got 4 lvl200+ rexes, each with minimum 15k hp(2 have 35k) and 1000% melee.

lol, that's not very impressive for level 200s actually...

We have four 200+s. Just had some lower level ones caught for egg production, gotta get dat kibble after all.

Also a level 320 Ptera named Darth Rhodonite... that one's owner went absolutely apeshit when he managed to max out its level, was so excited lol. Was knocked unconscious at 120 and tamed with a ton of kibble, then had its post-tame level maxed out.

Its normal for rexes that were perfect tames. One is lvl201 and its tame level was 176. So its only had 25 lvls. And I immediately pump hp up to 15k and then work on damage before going back to leveling hp.

If a rex was lvl120ish after tame and its near the end of possible leveling yeah its gonna have more hp than 15k-35k.

And I don't think its possible to get to lvl320. I think the max is 280. Unless you made your server's taming cap higher.

Well yeah, if you don'tnpump the rex's hp up to at least 10k-15k, you're pretty muc hasking to lose that rex to an alpha carno.

Actually that's how we lost my first rex. My rex plus our really high level dire wolf attacked a level 106 alpha carno. The wolf was getting pounded on a lot, so I stepped up and got its attention, bit it a lot and knocked it away from the wolf while he fed it a ton of meat, then dived back in to combat. Then my rex got killed, and I ran off a ways and shot it with a longneck to help finish it off. The wolf managed to finish it with a sliver of health left, and we all gained like ten levels from that one fight heh.

I killed a lvl102 alpha xcarno the other day using just one Rex. I kept knocking it down a slope so it barely got any hits in. Level ground would have been a lot different. Jerk only had an apprentice axe, which I am swimming in. Seems that raptors have the best loot.

Yeah also noticed that. Alpha raptors have weirdly better loot...

Tamer, more than breeder. Breeding was added quite recently.

Argents are where it's at. I've soloed level 80 Alpha Rexes with an argent I kibble tamed from 116 pretty easily. It's like 214 now with 8200 health and 1300 melee. Straight up murder.

I also have a breeding pair of spinos that were tamed at 108 and bred at 168 so we'll see what I can get out of them.

Oh, and I have a 116 female mammoth with pretty awesome stats I just tamed that I need to get knocked up.

No doubt. My argent is my favorite dino at the moment, she's so versatile. Though, mine's less combat focused. She has a fair distribution of stats, with the exception of her speed which is ridiculously high.

Giganotosauruses are next, btw! Go bronto-sized theropoda!

To add on to my recruitment schpeal for my home server, the admin is offering a "starter pack" to all new players. Primitive iron tools and such to help you get started, and weekly dino giveaways to low level players. And if you recruit people to the server you get entered to win cool stuff(usually a journeyman item of choice).

We are also going to have a weekly Carno Island survivor event. You get no dinos, only what ever you can carry. Last man standing wins a cool prize. Custom dino skins, high level items of choice, etc...

Awesome. Zoned out three and a half hours into raising my two quetzals for about half an hour and they both died. Three or four fridges full of meat and two 12 hour incubations gone. This is totally fun.

I pretty much stopped playing Ark. I just go on to feed a few things every few days and reset PVE claim/demolish timers.

Got sick of the insane grind to do anything on the default settings of the official server I played with a small community of regulars. And didnt really enjoy private servers which felt empty and had a few people spawning stuff.

Wish I could just beam my 4 rex into a pillar on official and stop playing til release. The babies they added are a pisstake too. Most tedious thing Ive tried in a game in years.

We hatched twins (Ptar). Total scramble for more meat and the good thing was our "Dino Ranch Exodus" was by Pearl Water Base and we had a Mosa. Serious Megadon hunting. They do not eat PM. Then Scorpians got into the ranch by glitching over the walls and our two tamers went to kill them but the aggro range got close and the twins flew into the campfire and roosted themselves trying to assist in killing. Total surprise....so we added another line of walls and spikes further up hill to prevent that from happening again.

My server is still trying to recruit new members. Free set of metal tools to all new players. Weekly pvp competitions to win high level items and dino skins. Alcarinsarkserver. Come and join the fun.

Sound interesting Grey but we just went to war with the Chinese tribe. Since they have 200+ level Rex's and Quetz and all kinds of power house land dino's we took to the sea and turning tunnels into fortress's and running Insurgency tactics at them. Sea belongs to us. Ever seen a 200+ Rex running down a ravine and hitting Large bear traps and IED's.......while taking fire from RPG's....it was.......glorious

I need to take pictures of this mayhem.

Right now we're building up the metal structures to throw up a decent size harbor on NE island.

Throw a bunch of raft and two turrets and see what Eastern Federation (Chinese) do. Its a distraction while we claim the underwater cave down SE corner of Ark.
Thoough we did come across them taming a Mosa under water but declared in global we stay out the area till it was done and offered to help with PM to tame faster

Now we know the underwater metal structure they built was to contain one in pen

War Map is getting a serious workout

Its kinda tense right now.

There are 3 main tribes, House Stark(We are located in the canyon where the Maw and Smuggler's pass meet), Getto Boyz(down on the Footpaw), and Supremacy(in the Grand Hills).

Supremacy is the strongest tribe for sure, but I'm on good terms with them.

Getto Boyz are the largest tribe. They have to have at least 18 rexes and spinos, plus they have around 5 active members.

House Stark. I got the best rexes, and probably the most defensive position.

I've done some thievery of some mining outposts, but never been caught. My biggest fear is that someone realizes my tribe only has 2 members and is offline a lot.

The thing is, I really would love to raid Getto boyz. I know they have a lot of cool swag, and they oddly have not made any turrets. Not even plant turrets.

Get two major attacks on your bases and people bail like cockroaches lol

Now those tribe who backed us are scavenging or threatening us. I IED Zebra and a tribe lost a flyer and player.

Ok, Gigantosaurs are freaking broken.

I just tamed a level 12.

At tame, he had 116,000 hp.

It took me 32 darts from a ramshackle rifle and 175 tranq arrows from a masterwork crossbow to knock him out.

Lol, Giganotosauruses are so broken right now... so damn broken. Keep in mind they do 1200 per bite base, and an additional 4% of max hp over 4 second from bleeding... AND they have over 100k hp each even at level one... AND they attack faster and have better stamina the more they get hurt... AND they are actually just as fast, if not faster than, a sprinting rex.

They're not that hard of a tame either, taking very little effort in terms of food, though they do take ridiculous amounts of narcotics (about one every two seconds, for tame times up to six hours on raw primes or three and a half on kibble and as low as 45m on kibble or 1h15m on raw primes for level one). Two people, one of which had a good priming dino, could do it fairly easily. Three would have no problem.

My lvl12 was tamed in 10 minutes with 15 prime(5x tame multiplier).

He also lost torpor at a rate of 200 per second.

Well gak, game's broke, let's go home people. Discounting fliers, there's no reason to have any other kind of mount any more.

That doesn't really make it balanced, though.

That just means the one faction who can afford to look the longest becomes Giga Tamers Master Race, and as long as they can keep the fliers off their backs they're unstoppable. And even if they can't, the gigas on aggressive will destroy anything short of a metal fortress-- and I mean that, it can step over walls unless they're at least four high.
