As a matter of fact, I just got some pics downloaded. The ones of the current sculpts are EXTREMELY WIP, so view accordingly please.

I'm not even goin to tell you which ones are which, because it will be either painfully obvious, or too hard to tell.

So, I present to you in no order whatsoever, the Female Techpriest, The Priestess, The Plague Bearer (again, for my own personnal army), and the My Little Pony Military Leader.






I am also making some "Ice" themed bases for Lt. Soundwave, here is the very early WIP shot of those:


Unfortunately, that's all I have for now. All of the sculpts are actually a bit farther along right now, these pics are a couple of days old.

What did you use and how did you do those Ice chunks?
I'm loving them and one of the two armies that I want to do is ice themed so that would come in very usefull!!

I left a reply yesterday, or at least I typed one up, and hit submit, but something must have happened and it didn't get posted.

Anyway, I have been sanding down the sculpts and adding a little here and there, but really nothing to show yet.

Silver, the "ice" was made with Magic Sculpt, I just formed roughly conical shapes and let it cure, then came back later and carved off flat sections with a hobby knife. I showed them to Lt. Soundwave, and he seemed to like them.

Speaking of which, he asked that I flatten the tip of one of the ice crystals, so I will ask him here, "Do you mean like it was broken off, or just not as pointy?"

Also, I am typing today on the laptop that Lt. Soundwave gave me! He warned me that it could die at any minute, and he was right, it does seem to want to die at any minute and has, repeatedly. But it is miles above my old laptop! Since I have never had one.... Anyway, thank you.

Thanks everyone for helping keep this thread from death during my time away. I am still not able to be on most of the day, as I have been working outdoors. I'm getting a great tan though!

The power jack has a crack in the solder that I never got around to fixing so anytime the cable is moved or the jack is jostled in some fashion it can cut power to the mainboard and since the battery doesnt appear to function anymore, bam. Offline.

If it continues to be a massive pain in the ass I can always take it apart and solder it back together, just a hassle really. I despise laptops myself. Do you finally see why I wouldnt accept payment for it?

Computer hardware is just something I cant charge for unless its new and I can provide some kind of warranty. Obsolete hardware like that old compaq just takes up space really heh ive got loads of old videocards, power supplies. You name it I've got parts Hell I only hold on to most of this old crap so I can help out the occasional friend or as a backup in case I lose an expensive part till i get it replaced. Glad its working (mostly) well for ya though!

If it dies completely lemme know and I'll see about building a fragbox from left over parts Ive got lying around. Not as small as a laptop but something slightly larger then an old gamecube would be doable. Granted youd need a mouse/keyboard and a monitor for it but you can pick up dead lcd monitors for nothing and replace most of the parts inside them aside from cracked screens for under 2 dollars USD.

As far as the ice crystals goes i love em! Cant wait for you to have em all made As to the broken thingy, i guess what i meant was something more along the lines of glacier ice like youd find wandering in the antarctic etc.







I love the rustic type look of huge chunks of ice. That isnt to say im not just as much a fan as the ones your working on as i cant wait to buy a bunch of em for my next battleforce, the'll be particularly great for basing my kroot. Speaking of..thanks so much for those bookshelves! Really helped free up a good deal of space round here! Also havent forgotten about that coffee table either Soon as I get paid I'll be in touch about reimbursing ya bud.

Lt Soundwave - It's all good, sometimes it takes a while to get it going, but I don't have to move it once it's going, so the power thing is fine.

I see what you mean for the ice crystals, I'll see what I can do. I still need to fix the crystals, and add some flocking. I should be able to get things in molds next week, I keep having to push things back....life keeps getting in the way of the things I want to do.

That is sadly the point of life it would seem..

I know right! My time would be best spent at home painting, but this work crap keeps getting in the way..every damn day!
