Epic use of the crustaceans, Salvage

With the large base sizes and sometimes lacking official models, Kings of War is by far the best use for Mierce's offerings, imo.

Thanks Tides! For the curious, the Thuulac here is an entire horde of Water Elementals, and those Scuttling Nucránca are Kraken (the army is Trident Realms).

I recognize all the Mierce, but what are the little guys?

Remind me of Khurasan models.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Is this their first attempt at a scifi miniature?

Thanks. Is this just an event model then and not a concerted attempt to enter a new genre (scifi as opposed to fantasy) then?

Too bad (for me) as I'm a fan of the quality of the sculpts shown here overall.. but probably better for their seemingly years(!!) long backlog of existing funded fantasy figs.

Mierce are odd.

I got an entire force of Jutes in metal last year I think.

I was nervous about their arrival because of this thread, but IIRC they showed up in less than 2 months.

I hope they keep going, and are able to meet everyone's KS orders. I want to get more at some point.

Congrats on your Mierce! And yea, best buckle up, they do sales throughout the year, including BOGO monsters in the summer and a blanket X% off around Black Friday. I could really use a monster sale right now, need an Encrusted Thuulac to go with the clean one I painted a couple weeks back:

Nice! Im still wiaitng for the stuff I ordered bit curious about the turnaround and delivery time.. .

In general if you make a normal retail order you'll get your stuff rapidly

its the KS stuff that's slow

(preorders seem to go out roughly when they said they would, but I've no personal experience to look at there)

Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this miniature and was wondering if any of you have it:
Spoiler:

My idea is to take it as a base miniature and spice it up a bit to use it as Nakai the Wanderer for Warhammer. Do you know how large it is compared to 28mm infantry? Any pictures for scale comparison (ideally against lizardmen) would be highly appreciated!

It actually says on the webpage it's 68mm tall (base is 80mm), so that should at least give you the height comparison.

Aye, he's a big'un. Hard to find scale shots but he's probably as tall as a Stegadon. I have him unbuilt if you're still interested and need a shot. Here's one of the few I've seen in the wilds > http://chestofcolors.com/king-of-the-swamp/

ALSO:
The half price nobles and monstrous infantry deals have proved extremely popular and with the current lockdowns and isolations we think you'll need some more. So here's an offer to get any monsters at HALF PRICE - but there's two conditions. One, we're only offering FIVE of each miniature at this price, and two, you've only got a few days to take advantage as it ends at midnight (GMT) Monday the 23rd of March 2020, just a few days away!
It is time

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-mighty-monsters-part-deux/posts/2800897

Right then, Miercenaries! Here's another update for the Darklands: Mighty Monsters Part Deux project...

Bob Plociennik's been working extra hard on the Trolls of Vartheim, Leiptroll Unit and they are now all done and dusted! Wowser! Gratuitous group shot alert:

Now these guys will form the basis of a Hálftroll Unit, at some point...

Rejoice, everyone, for Yannick Fusier is not dead! Hurrah! That means he can continue to work his wondrous magical skills on Kaanrod's Mob, the Shieldwall Ograx Reiver Unit! He's only got three converted so far, but they're awesome...

Now Yannick assures me two more of these guys will be sorted soon, so that's pretty much the Shieldwall guys done; then it's the two club variants, which shouldn't take too long at all...

What's Next?

We've decided that Rafael Dioli will take over the Atalantes sculpts and he'll do the Sentinels, Kerberokolossos Unit. Yannick Fusier will do Murcunn and the Oghu Wardens, Oghureach Unit. That means it's nearly the end for this project!

(more images in the update)

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-savage-hordes-iii?ref=activity

A short update for Darklands: Savage Hordes III, because last time we forgot to show you the Duguth Ēored in different realms...

So Bob completed work on the Veteran Riders of Maunsfeld a while back, but we completely forgot to show you the realm versions - i.e., you saw the Duguth Ēored of Mierce, but not those from Beornica, Dēra or Eoforas. So here they are!

The best one to show is probably Cuthwulf, as we have nice shots of his shield. But be assured, the rest are very similar!

Let's start with Mierce, who get wolf tails:

Then Beornica, that get bear paws:

Dēra get some antlers:

Finally, Eoforas with tusks and so forth:

We're not quite sure how we're going to do the various kindred packs yet, but it won't be too much extra, and you can specify which one you want just by e-mailing us.

Rafael will be doing the Ax-Margh-Drunes (the Ax-Drune cavalry) shortly, as well as Rudraige on pony, along with a foot resculpt no doubt. Same for Alix on swift-horse. He'll do Kyros on Hipakolossos too - no need to resculpt the foot version though. (Rafael will be doing Albainn, Atalantes, Érainn and Ysians for the foreseeable - at least for that stuff Valentin Zak isn't doing).

Bob's going to do the new Cynemon as well as Culcca, Spartakus and a new Leónis, which means we can do all sorts of other lion-related shenanigans...!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-savage-hordes-iv/posts/2800974?ref=activity

We've another update for Darklands: Savage Hordes IV with miniatures and art!

Kurt Jakobi has been beavering away - or is that beetling away? - at the Mound Beetles because we promised there'd be new ones from this project - and here they are, The Vicious of Heardtu, Mound Beetle Unit in all their shuddering glory...

The second mound beetle is Nægmiht...

Brutan is indeed a brute!

Remember, these guys will be on 80mm bases and no doubt Bob Plociennik will be sculpting them.

So here's a lovely thing, Valentin Zak has been working hard on the Fir Danu and they're definitely getting there. Here's a scale shot to show you their size:

So these guys are still a work in progress, but Valentin is getting there and should be sending me new images very soon.

What's Next

In the very near future, Bob Plociennik will be doing the Wulfas and new Freawulfas for good measure, and then lots of everything else. Other than that, Jason Hendricks will be doing the great weapon Brute-Beasts soon...

I love the big mound beetle, thrilled to have a unit of mostly-huge ones

The striped down trolls are really nice too. I'm a fan of Mierce's version of trolls, dig how simple these ones are. TONS of uses for them in KOW, so I suppose I'll be over here scheming ...

Glad to see there continues to be a steady stream of new stuff releasing. If the constant sales help keep things afloat, then I'm all for it- I had to partake of that last half priced monsters one (and judging from the latest email, quite a few of us jumped in on that one).

I'm going to need the most Slaine- ish looking of those Fir Danu when they're done.

Also hoping that they get Yannick to keep working his way through the Ograx. Haakon was one I was really looking forward to and Yannick has done a great job of making them big, round, and mean looking.

Humm. 40mm based Trolls. That would be really worth getting as I love the troll design just don't need any more regular sized ones.

So I was just checking out what other trolls Mierce has (spoiler: lots), and saw the art for the particular KS unit above. Whoa:

I pretty much would like to buy them all...

Mierce does make wonderful stuff, really.

I'm torn between sticking to my guns and not buying anything else until most of my current backlog is cleared out vs. buying stuff that is new, available now in order to help keep things going...

Wow! So much nice stuff!

I’m loving the look of the ograax Yannick has done, And is doing. Those lieptrolls came out great too.

The fir danu just look stunning! Valatin really captured the extreme poses from Danny’s concept art.

Glad to see a nice mix of computer & traditional sculpting happening across the projects. I’m glad Bob will be taking on the wulfas next. I don’t feel the freawulfs need a resculpt, but I’m guessing it’ll just entail a scaling up, repose, and small details changed/added.

Glad to hear the half price monsters sale was such a success. I’ve been trying to support these smaller studios a bunch in these time.

How is Mierce with retail sales? if i order my stuff, is it a gamble as to whether i receive anything? or do they just play those games with kickstarters?

It's a small web store in the UK, so pretty much what you'd expect when you order stuff that's in stock. There is bit of a delay right now - I'm still waiting on stuff I ordered in the 50% off monster sale, tho I expect it this week - but between COVID, international shipping and ordering during a sale, that's to be expected.

Anyway, zero gamble if you're ordering in stock stuff. You're just a customer buying a thing that's already been produced.
