Subject: Heavy flamer options, Redeemer's Flamestorm man mounted?

Space Marine Scout with Sniper Rifle

For an upcoming Sternguard conversion, I was looking for a suitable model for a heavy flamer.
I had heard there was an option in the new cadian IG comand squad, and I keenly searched for some new pics: Cadian flamer
Now for a space marine that would barely constitute a regular flamer, then I came into contact with this idea: How about mounting the Land Raider Redeemer's Flamestorm cannon, as they do with the regular devastator marines: Flamestorm
Has anyone done a similar conversion, or know of someone who has, I was intending on basing the model on the plasma cannon or multilmelta devastator, and using the fuel tanks on a modified backpack.
I think this has brought the pyromaniac out in me, any ideas?

You can use the terminator heavy flamer with some cutting and sticking without too much trouble.
The flamestorm is bigger than the marine. Sure, ordinarily, they can carry around 6' long chainsaw swords, but I think carrying a flamestorm pretty much shouts "overcompensation".

It would take the whole squad to carry a flame storm they are huge about the size of a tau hammerhead gun.

I've got the impression they're huge, any size comparisons available?
If they are ultra large, as I fear they are, how about using the heavy flamer from the land speeder? Speeder Flamer

I have my LRC/R sitting here beside me, and looking at the flamestorm from nozzle to butt of the gun is about a centimetre (~1/3 of an inch for you yankees boys in the stone age) taller than a normal marine. edit - my flag says america, but it alternates whenever it feels like it for some reason..I'm in ontario, about an hour from toronto

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

I would go with the HF from an IG sentinel. A bit of cutting and it will look great, bigger than a flamer, but still marine portable.
I´ve actually got one sitting in a bits box atm, that I´ve been working on, but I´m not going to dig it out right now, due to exams. I´ve hidden my stuff far away, in order to stop myself from painting instead of working on school projects... :S

The Cadian and Catachan Heavy Flamers are noticeably larger than the normal flamers. I would give it a try before trying to mount a flamestorm on an infantry model.

if your doing such a thing then parts from the devistator marine box would help alot
the multi-melta backpack would look great.
use the arms and main body shape from a heavy bolter (trim off ammo and other random parts of it) then cut of the barell and cover the ammo ejection point.
add a flamer barel to the end (sentinel heavy flamer / speeder flamer / termie heavy flamer will all be the right size)
