Aloha and welcome to part 9 of Panic`s Hawai`i to London Lashamus Campaign

Kevin, (Pats protege) will be playing my Adeptus Mechanicus Exploritory force (New Imperial Guard) and I will be running with a pure Khornate Chaos Damon force.

We decided to play best of 3 just to mix things up and to give Kevin a chance to test out some different builds for his burgeoning Imperial Guard army.

The first game is Spearhead deployment with the Capture and Control mission.

All the builds are pretty stock and WYSIWYG as standard.

Top of the First


Kevin takes the first turn and deploys in a defensive formation around his Objective.


I end up with the choice I did not want and deploy the single unit of Bloodletters on one flank

Top of the Second


My Bloodletters survive nearly all that the Adeptus Mechanicus can throw at me...untill Sly Marbo (proxy) shows up.


No other Daemons arrive so my lone Bloodletter goes it alone. It charges into a 10 man Infantry squad and almost survives. Shucks.

Top of the Third


Kevin moves to take my Objective (no Pic)

My Blood Gorger (scratch built thirster proxy) arrives on his own and threatens the opposite flank

Top of the Fourth


Kevin pours all that he can into my Blood Gorger and only inflicts 2 wounds.


I seek revenge with my Blood Gorger and wipe out the Primaris Psyker, Sly Marbo and a full infantry squad in one go.

Top of the Fifth


Again Kevin pumps the Blood Gorger full of laser-love and only inflicts one more wound.


I jump the Blood Gorger and nearly wipe out a whole Veteran squad but the Sargent with a fist gets in one wound and I fail my save.

We get a sixth turn.

Top of the Sixth


Now my last unit of Bloodletters sit on their Objective while Kevin directs all he's got at them.


In a last ditch effort I move into a rough single-line formation and charge the Platoon Command sitting on his Objective and wipe them out.
I then massacre move back on to mine and turn a draw into a win

Game Two






The Deployment is Pitched Battle and the Mission is Kill Points

Kevin wins the roll and forces me to go first this time

Top of the First


Again I get my second choice force and deploy my Herald on Juggernaut and a unit of Bloodletters
to threaten Kevin's Valkyrie loaded with Veterans with a Death Strike that misses


Kevin retaliates with the Veterans and a Primaris Psyker and the Multiple Rocket Pods and reduces my Bloodletters to a single Daemon while my Herald is untouched

Top of the Second


The Herald and remaining Bloodletter erase the Veterans and the Primaris Psyker while a new unit of Letters arrive.


Kevin's Valkyrie continues to be a thorn in my side and nearly wipes out my other unit of Bloodletters.
All the while, Kevins 30 man combined infantry squad is being avoided at all costs (90 lasgun shots? no thanks!)

My Khornate Daemon Prince arrives and also has Death Strike which hits the Valkyrie but fails to penetrate.


Kevin's Valkyrie Finishes off my Bloodletters but is cut off from the rest of the army. Sly Marbo appears but is held back so as not to give up another Kill Point.

Top of the Fourth


My Herald and Daemon Prince make a Heroic Leap and the Prince lands one blow that wrecks the Valkyrie out of the air.


Kevin is down by one Kill Point and is still out of range with his massive infantry squad.

Top of the Fifth


My Daemon Prince and the Herald take a little break behind the wrecked Valkyrie (good thing i rolled a 5) to compare skulls.


Kevin's super infantry unit taunts and dares my Daemon Pricne and Herald to attack but they are ignored. Sly Marbo steps out and calls out the Herald.

We get one more turn.

My Herald steps out from behind the wreck and silences Sly Marbo with a Death Strike and survives a limited lasgun attack from the impotent Infantry unit unscathed.


The game ends a Chaos Victory! 2 to 4 Kill Points

Wow that was two Killer games! And with an overall Chaos Victory.

Kevin's mistake in the first game was to place his objective near the center of the table. His mistake in the second game was to stick his neck out with the Valkyrie which did a good job in the beginning but betrayed him in the end

And being a chaos boy, congrats on all those skulls for the Skull Throne!

Great pics, Morehammer. That board ( with it's blood) really works for these two battles. Awesome job!

Really love your work on the those Daemon Princes and Bloodletter. great to see some different faces on the table.

Thanks for the awesome pictures with the battle report, they really make the game easy to follow. Also, to second kid_happy, that board and terrain is awesome and your models all look wicked too.

That DaemonPrince looks amazing! although hiding behind the downed valkyrie in the second game was a little out of character!

Very very true Panic. The fact was that I have been playing with and against guard so much lately that I have come to really fear the humble lasgun.

The only way I can rationalize it is to say that I was trying to teach Kevin the virtues of avoiding part of the enemy army. I shared with him that if the Valkyrie had stayed closer to his 30 man infantry squad then this would have been a very different battle. That and my Prince and the Herald were trying to get into the Valkyrie to get at the pilot's skulls
