1) obvious winner = the Emperor. He did it .

2) in a battle royale: would be always another contender winning. The crazed ones may brute their way to victory once or twice, but the more thoughtful will win on the long run.

well technically sanguinius would win...every time, because he was stated as the most talented fighter among the primarchs (dunno how he compares to the emperor)

What about tag-teams?

I see it run more as a 'Royal Rumble' style event. Chuck them all in a ring (ideally at the same time) and see who comes out on top. I'm going to go with the big psycho red guy who wants to smash smash smash!

I'd still have to say Russ.
He is, after all, the only Primarch ever to beat Horus in 1 on 1 sparring (Emperor and batteries not included). Horus, who beat Sanguinus proper, Angron, Mortarion, Fulgrim and Nighthaunter in the ring.

He has cunning, Angron...not so much. (If anyone says Guilliman or Jonson I'll smack 'em)

Tagteam: Russ and Jonson... Russ: "Lionel, you go and slap Angron, I'll be right behind you..."

You are all forgetting that the Lion pimp slapped the Wolf. My vote would be the lion. if it was chapter against chapter , hands down would be ultras. Gulli was a tactical master.

I hate to break it to you, but the Lion did NOT pimp slap the wolf, they were evenly matched until Russ realised how stupid it was to be fighting a brother and the Lion like the big emo he was Sucker punched him like a Coward.

Of course, who would win in a fight is reletive, depending on the circumstances. Pure hand to hand brawling? Angron or Russ would certainly have the Berserker edge, but Sangie would just outskill them.

Only reason Horus beat hm is because all 4 Chaos Gods were channelling their might to him. Filthy cheat that he is.

I am somewhat leaning torward Horus or Vulkan. Vulkan has an amazing stamina, and Horus is just all arround badass.

I have also read fluff that had him taking out Guilliman in battle, however technically he is in statis, and the ultrasmurfs claim he is regenerating.

I think it was in the white dwarf some years back with the Emperor's Children Index Astares entry, iirc.

Even Horus claimed he should have been Warmaster in his place. He was mutated by chaos on Baal and had Horus attempt to sway him to Chaos. He has more Willpower than any of the other Primarchs. He was revered by all the other Primarchs and they all talked of his superior skill.

He also held the Eternity Gate single handed. No others would go out and fight. Then he broke a Bloodthirster's back over his knee.

That is pretty badass.....

Not as impressive as doing it to a primarch though (Russ did it to Magnus during the burning of Prospero)

Don't forget Bloodthristers grow when there is more blood spilled, and the Seige of Terra was just a little bloody.

My not-at-all slanted (sarcasm) vote would be for Russ.

Horus, even when pumped up by all 4 Chaos Gods had to wait for Russ to be on the other side of the galaxy before he assaulted Terra, otherwise Russ would have just pwnd him before he got to the Emporer.
