It's both. The Alpha Legion and orks aren't allowed to fight because of that, it's like dividing by 0.

My vote is definitely for Russ.
Sanguinus is a close second. While he has skill, Russ was a god of battle. He was also known by all the rpimarchs as a sheer badass in combat and no one liked being in there with him...
Oh, and will the idiot who said the Lion had a chance please read the fluff. The Lion was a pansy. He almost died trying to kill a beast that an AVERAGE HUMAN took down before the emperor even came to the rock... Pansy...
Anngron has no tactical wit and while pure bloodfury would win him half the battle, he'd fall from a superior fighting arm, like Russ... Oh, and Russ gets his trusty dogs since they're pretty much his weapons. If you'd give Anngron an axe or Fulgrim the anathame (is that what that sword was called?) then Russ gets his trusty wolves. Yeah, he wins.

I'd say weapons are counted so Angron gets Gorechild and Gorefather, Mortarion gets his Scythe, Russ gets Gormenjarl, the frost blade that cuts mountains in half (as well as Freki & Geri), etc...

The name of his frost Blade was Mjalnar, which is a Corruption of Mjöllnir (AKA The Hammer of Thor)

Haha! Except, ya know, Vulkan, who DID beat the Emperor and yet still swore Fealty. I actually respect Vulkan for that because he knew he shouldn't have won. Lion was just an Emo wimp who had to wait to see who won before declaring his alliance and couldn't beat Russ without resorting to cheating.
