Now you see the idea of the old fashioned air-mobile army that would be men and vehicles dropped by air-craft, including smaller tanks and support vehicles small enough to go with them. I can now safely say that I have for the Khadrovian forces every thing from armored cars, transports and light to super heavy tanks.

Okay, started to paint the OC stuff, and added more to the T-350 painting. Now the changes were a tad subtle, but I have added tin bits, and gun-metal and the commander has had his uniform set to the new color for Konfedracy tankers

Now as for the OC stuff, the most interesting thing is my addition of augry/sensors to the Cross-fire turrets, made them look more like present day turrets with all the designation/search/lights/lasers, etc.

well seeing these OC models...if i had enough cash i would like to get one of these too...too bad they would not be fluffy units...but maybe if my sons force one day has more paint on them i could argue to have a few OC models for these then... (he gets a more modern looking policeforce)
Hey the gecko(full armor, ) and Goanna w/o the turrets look kind of future cop like.
The APC's seem like paddy wagons if no cannons either, just a command hatch(which they do come with).

Thanks a lot thats muc appreciated. I still haven't decided whether to take the plunge if they were a bit bigger I definitely would as the proxy model works against me smaller works for me so I'll have to give it some deeper consideration.

NP Llamahead, it is roughly the same size model, just a bit lower slung and not flanked by monstrous treads with the engines inside the track system.

that turret all in black now looks very cool...the rivtes now "pop" very good... and i have to say i see how good you are with making them rivtes these days...expierience is 90% of the success^^
the attackcar makes me wonder...will the tires be camoed as well or just the caps of the wheels? could be that i ask before such touchups but i can´t remember how you did other wheeled vehicles...

Very cool Shas! Everything looks better primed and riveted! This is also a great opportunity to hone your lens-painting skills too. I always find the lenses tricky myself, and a bit scary too.

You can see similarities between the turrets, and differences. Some unconscious homage to systems happens in his designs. I like it because they are then more plausible concepts for my army to have them.

iu recently saw a vid of a so called riptide tank design...when you see those tanks rollin`you don´t see them as tanks and heavy vehicles anymore...they are so fast now... no comparrision to the old steelhides from the late wars...
so when will you start to muck that shiny turret up?

Oh very soon, presently camo-ing up the "fleet" and found a interesting Ukraine vehicle that looks like the Glaive,,,IFV-64 made from recycled T-64 and made into other vehicles, this had some decent pep in it's step as opposed to the slower IFV-55,,,yep T-55 heavy APC. But the imagery of the IFV-64

Now the Glaive has been around longer than IFV-64, but the uncanny similarities and differences are still there, and makes me like these more!

Well, they do actually have a self propelled gun that is no higher than the latest batch of tanks as it uses the same track/chassis as the gladius/glaive Old Crow dubs it the "Halberd"
Not as low slung as the spots of the glaive you speak of, but I am also sitting on more gun-barrels that will allow me to make more scratch-builds!

Automatically Appended Next Post: So, in a major apocalypse game, my army would be the speedy OC and other light/fast vehicles in the first wave, followed by lemans and chimeras, followed by the super-heavies with arty support. A multi-layered attack as tanks and troops would arrive so many times to attack, destroy and tie up enemy positions. ( I like the "Tank-riders" to have the rest of the men come along on the superheavies and lemans and sabres for fun!, and now squads on gladius tanks as well.
