The only thing I don't like about the smaller turrets is their lack of usefulness at shooting at targets on the left side. Are these going to "count as" Leman Russ or Chimeras? If so, IMO, I think the smaller turrets should be nixed and add whatever other weapons they need (hull mounted HB, lascannon, etc.) from 40k bitz. They need a little bit more 40k-izing IMHO. The angles in the hull where the smaller turrets are seem more suited to stowage in my mind's eye.

Gentlemen, that was my way of " 40K-ing them up some, I am looking for more winged skull and other icon, I may actually sculpt stars and wing in gray-stuff instead if need be. Meanwhile, been going crazy trying to rivet the things. I was just making sure they still get that 45degree deal for bow mounted weapons like the leman and chimera get. It's just the overall look of them is so unusual as to be easily NOT GW product no matter what one does, so I do what I can to make them as a "counts as" model or such, or to work with the Vehicle Design Rules as guidelines for the work.I am actually going to make the Gladius armor 13/12/10 for a light tank armor. It is so similar to the scorpion.
The ARV which was delayed does have stowage boxes on those low areas
meanwhile, rivet pics!

With m,y shaky hands, I would not attempt cutting that small an item. Thank you, I may have to take you up on that offer, Then I can sculpt that star on them.
monkeytroll wrote:Wow, shaso, was there some kind of light armoured company deal going at OC when you ordered?

Ah, the ARV has been delayed, but will be on it's way shortly according Jez at OC. As for any deals, well, with patience to wait the days he asks for , he does charge a low price for such crisp clean models, unlike a well known, infamous and over pricey company we all know that sends expensive models whose weight is at least 1/3 waste resin attached and the lifting oil still on their stuff. I have to say for the love he puts into his models, he could teach FW a lesson or two as they do charge so much yet they do so little to ensure the models will be easy to work with.
So, the most expensive of my OC tanks is the Sabre at 35USD,,,Leman Russ from GW 50USD, FW modified Leman Russ, around 550USD at present. Oh and the OC the resin is solid, a bit heavier, but not as delicate as the more expensive company stuff, and the amount of play they expect from the FW stuff makes me cringe due to the smaller the part, the mor elikely it is it will snap, and at basically 80USD a squad of Kriegs, those las-rifles in that material scares the hell out of me,
But let me compare, those Geckos light cars are 10USD a model, whereas the FW Tauros is 47USD, I simply aded a weapon by adding the gun turret kit OC makes for a small weapon system, as seen above in pics, that cost an extra, 5.79USD, so my "tuaros" is 15.79USD compared to 47-48USD per car.,,,I know, some will say look at how much more detail is on the FW model,,,consider the clean-up needed, and the soaking in soapy water/drying as well, and it takes some time before you even get to actually assemble the thing, Here, I just pull the parts out of the bag, and start building! Based on the crew, the models are about the same basic size. Both follow a modern attack buggy of even today's light vehicle designs. That and I would still be afraid to drop that FW kit.

It is indeed an automated servo turret, only two men are in that machine, the turret is all servos and tracking/targetting systems and ammo feeds.

The 2nd seat is inside the vehicle, and is also part of the inner workings of the turret, but what is up and visible has no one so high up. So, driver, with gunner/commander right behind the driver, but his seat is the command/control section for that turret and the HK launchers.

Sonofruss: My guitar wires are now done to ultra-thin singles that would be super small. Here I experimented with paperclips.
Llamahead: A good question to ask.Looking at the Chimera which has treads and engines external mounted from the cab and crew area, the chimear is wider, and also apparently taller with the turret especially. The Glaive has a same width passenger compartment, and has similar spots for the passengers to shoot from, I would class the glaive as more "urban friendly" however when compared to the Chimera, both have about the same length from nose to ramp.

Now you must be pulling my leg. His tanks have names of medieval weapons.
Thank you, my best close up ever!
Primer later.
Even though basically the glaive and chimera actually have the same compartment sizes, I think 12 men even is a bit much for the Chimera. I usually only place 10men anyway.

That was just me posing the whole bunch on that area. I really don't have any space for the phone, other than where it is.

That is how it usually seems to work. A good lick of primer and the rivets get the shading they need to stand out more.
Spray can is a big help.
