IF Space Hulk is indeed the retro tastic themed game we believe it will be then I would suggest that either Blood Angels or Tyranids might be good spin offs to come from it in some form or other.
Phil Kelly is writing the Dark Eldar codex currently, Andy Hoare is working on the Beastman ( Beastmen ? ) army book. Don't expect Dark Eldar within a year of this date in my opinion though, I still think late next year.

And now, if you read this months WD, it says in 'news in Brief' that Jeremy Vetock is eating green sweets in the corner of the Studio. This i think means O&G army book. But Skaven have crossed my mind in the last 2 minutes.
and Reds8n, there is no Space hulk coming out. Its going to be an IG 2nd wave.

Really ? Hmm.. we'll see. Because I think you're wrong in the first part of the above quote there. No reason for super code named project at GW HQ just for the 2nd wave of guard stuff I'm afraid. I would suggest we might start hearing more HUlk stuff around mid to end of August.
This would be the guard 2nd wave that we've all already seen would it ?

I thought that the single question mark I put at the end of the message subject conveyed inquisitiveness as opposed to being declaritive just fine. No offense, but dont look for punctuation upgrades on my part soon, especially when the current state and usage ref: Engrish language are just fine and have been for quite a while.
hammerofulric wrote:You've got Blood Angels, so I don't expect a new codex anytime soon.
I, for one, do not. However, I can hope. And here's a question for the Dakka at Large: I remember reading that they chose to do the BA codex (such as it is) the way they did and how they did because of the excessive number of individual documents that previously were needed (what, 4?). Did the BA dex come in it's proper order in the release schedule? Did it actually take up a release "slot" that could have gone to another dex/army book, or was it just chucked into a WD? I don't remember much lead up to it's release, it seemed kinda outa the blue to me, but to be honest I wasnt (and still dont) following the news on those subjects very well at all. Is it possible that the BA release was a stop-gap measure more to address the number of documents needed, and wasnt considered a full "release" the way IG was? Just a thought. I'm not suggesting that any one codex or AB should be pushed further back, or that marines need ANOTHER update, or that other books are not in more need of update. I know some people get really butt-hurt when this subject comes up, but that's not my goal. I'm just asking some questions.

Yes and it gave them a lot more character than the DA Codex afforded the Dark Angels.
Blood Angels got Assault Squads as Troops
Dark Angels got accurate teleporting for Deathwing Squads. Very "Hunt the Fallen" that was.
