So it's like every other transmitable disease out there, in that eventually, through natural selection (paying attention creationists?) the few cells of the virus that aren't affected by the drugs begin to become the dominant version?

Not suprising.
Though I should point out that virus comes in particle form, not cell form. It's a lot tinier and simpler than a cell, which is why it can be so hard to fight with drugs. And why antibiotics are of absolutely no use.

Viruses are weird. They are both Living and not living and both responsible complex life being able to exists and causing complex life to die.

Not to mention Viruses in the form of Bacteriophages will soon eliminate the threat of Drug Resistant bacteria.

And they are forced to keep working with a sniffly nose, and a small percentage may actually take a sick day...

Still not sure why drugs are being given for this, except in people who get it and have some sort of organ failure, post chemo/bone marrow transplant.
