Hi, Dakka

So, I'm new. I've posted a couple times already. I'm starting a night goblin squig cult army for a campaign story line and general play.
I have been an enthusiastic bench-warmer of the hobby for around a decade. I was never much for the idea of gaming tho, it seemed too cumbersome to have a whole army and know all the rules and all that.
All that changed recently, for some reason. I started getting back into the hobby when I found my old stash of minis. Not too many in all, mostly green skins tho. Not even enough to field one unit.
I have been getting into diorama style art projects lately, too. I figure that was part of my renewed vigor in the mini’s hobby. All this had me thinking about the characters that I was painting these minis to represent.
I’m working on a diorama that depicts a goblin shaman/cult leader toiling away with his caldron and fungi while his snottling and goblin cultists harvest and collect the warpstone and fungi in the area in and around his underground lake.
I’ve got a skirmish scale gaming table in the planning stages for a home field advantage with the squig cult. It will be a mountainous table full of sulfurous mountain springs and plenty of brush, a few trees even. Oh, and I can’t forget the caves, lots of little caves for the gobos and squigs to hide in and jump out from.
I’ll be posting pictures of the growing cult and their home as I can, starting in August, after I’ve moved.

More to come…
