The Battlewagon will be pink so don't even try to change my mind. If you care then give me some tips on how to improve. Below is a test piece of sorts. I used squid pink and then baal red wash. I like it--but then again I like everything I paint even when it looks like @#%@. I've read the tutorial on weathering and will give that a try, but before I hit the body of the battlewagon I'd appreciate any constructive feedback from you experts!

wow, your brush strokes are everywhere. Try brushing in the direction of your shadows or twards the dark areas. Then on the large flat areas, do a once over with the pink as a highlight and it will make the brush strokes disappear.

Ditto, ditto. Weathering tends to travel downward, well, like weather (i.e. rain) and/or follows a pattern (usually along the seams or nuts/bolts).
Or here's some pinkish weathered metal...

Or you can just leave the red ink by the crevices / corners / joints etc etc
and make everything else back to pink

washes have never worked for me on flat surfaces very well. If it were my I'd probably choose a darker shade of pink then just weather it.

I don't hate it at all. I suggest a dilute brown wash in the crevices.
