First two don't count, they're just episode compilations. =P

I liked Korra but did not care for the very ending. Felt very Dues Ex Machina to me. Overcoming the aftermath and removal of powers would have made for a nice season two hook I think. The last minute "you had the power to fix it inside you all along!" and BAM everything is fine was a little of a let down.

I agree with that; and honestly, that's where I thought they were going to go with the plot...now I'm kind of left wondering what's going to happen with season 2!

IDK about Gargantia. I like it, but when the obligatory beach episode appears five episodes in I become wary

They live on a fleet of ships in an endless ocean and you're complaing about a swimsuit episode? It's fanservice, sure, but it's so fitting that it isn't really thrown at you. Besides, for the last few episodes....
Spoiler:
...It's been eerily calm. Like, calm before the storm calm. Sure, you are learning more about how the fleet Gargantia operates, what day to day life is like there, however something big is going to happen soon and when it does, it'll be plot changing. That's for sure.

Am I the only one who liked Gargantia more when it was about fighting in space? : P
I don't think i'll be able to get into the show, it reminds me a lot of Full Metal Panic in that its more goofy and more about the characters daily lives. An as cool as the mechs abilities are I don't like the look or the 3-D art style they have for it

I will...never be a memory

Attack on Titan 6 is out. Sadly they seem to have gotten the pacing in the anime quite wrong... It's an interesting episode but it seems they delayed true epicness again.

I haven't watched it yet, but thank you for keeping my expectations low.

Anyone checked out Majestic Prince? Space Mechs vs mysterious alien invaders anime that follows a lot of the typical cliches, but I've been enjoying it so far.

Currently rewatching FMA:Brotherhood also as I found out the streams on PinoyAnime for that series now work on my phone where they didn't used to.

Yep. Kind of disappointed in episode 6. They really could have saved that flashback for later in the series but instead they jammed it in here. So disappointed XD I expected the crowning moment of bad ass this episode.

I am quite disappointed on Shingeki as well.
That aside, I've started Psycho Pass and it seems adequate so far. Too bad i find the lead-role girl annoying and somewhat dumb...

Attack on titan is on most sites I would think. Its even on crunchyroll AND funimation, which is rare since theyre both subscription based sites.

It might be listed under its Japanese name (Shingeki no Kyojin) or under the alternate translations of its title "The Eotena Onslaught" and "Advancing Giants."

Crunchy Roll still lets you play for free if you want. Ads suck but they aren't that bad.

I do have a CR guest pass if any one wants one.

Side note: I withdraw my previous defense of the bikinis and fanservice in Gargantia, with the new episode I think it's clear they really are just looking for excuses to stick Amy and the messenger girls in scantily clad outfits. Which is incredibly disappointing.

Told you. The fan service pourth like the river Granted I liked this weeks episode a lot more than last weeks. It was really down to earth in the way a post-apocalyptic water world series can be down to earth I can live with fan service so long as the point doesn't seem to be merely for fan service (or if in the case of HOTD, it's hilarious). That's how I felt about last weeks episode, but this week there actually seemed to be a point to turning Amy into a belly dancer.

The whole scene actually plays to the point of the episode. He's surrounded by booze, swanky food, girls in revealing clothing, all the while being taught about human desire and encouraged to find something to strive for and then he starts staring at Amy.

That sounds really dirty when I say it out loud XD

It does, Pervert Hat type individual. I mean it makes complete sense, though beyond continuing to set up the obvious, it's not a spoiler they might as well announce it in neon eventual romance plot with Amy I totally didn't get the IU reason that Amy was dancing with the messenger girls. (well any of them for that matter, I get that the trio of them form a hive mind and cannot be separated)

Yeah I kept expecting Ledo to ask "Why were you dancing" and Amy to revealing her lifelong dream was to dance and that she's a messanger more to make money or support her brother or to be helpful or something. But no XD

Still going with Attack on titan. Not sure how I feel fully about it yet, but it was kind of disappointing for Episode 6.

Giving Revolutionary Girl Utena a try. Not too bad from what I have seen in the first episode, so I am going to continue on with that.

Yeah something like that, or when he was watching her period a "What's that for?" to Bellows and Pinon. No IU justification at all just "Bam, check it. Fanservice. We know you like it viewer, now hold still while we shove it deep into your eye"

I really enjoyed Total Eclipse, but the first two episodes were such a freaking TEASE! It looked like a hardcore nightmare fuel Evangelion style mecha anime. Then it jinks left and kicks you in the head with a harem anime focused on a completely different protagonist. The mecha action even got shifted to the sidelines for the most part.

Finished Melancholy.

The last episode is dull...and I don't want to watch the second season, it seems all of the additional episodes involve getting stuck in a time loop, and those kind of stories suck.

Attack on Titan has some really funky pacing. Way too many time skips.

It should have started in medias res around episode 3 with flashbacks. The way they did it drew too much attention to the time skips.

Otherwise, I really like it and am willing to give it a pass on some small issues.

Gargantia could go either way. It's gorgeous and the world building is totally great, but they've made some weird mistakes. The mecha is overpowered and the danger levels aren't creating engagement. Like titan, I am giving it a pass on a bunch of small things because I like the art and world, but it is on ice and needs to get things going or I'm going to lose interest.

I actually don't think Gargantia is at all intended to be an action series. Sure there's gonna be action but from what the lead producer and director have said the press the series is meant to be more of a slice of life/coming of age story focused much more on the characters personal development and interactions. In that sense, Chamber being so powerful isn't much of a weakness.
