Not so much about Space Hulk itself, as to what it's return might herald for the future.
What if Space Hulk is a grand marketing experiment with regard to other now long out of production games, like Warhammer Quest, Man O' War etc. Those who will never sell in units high enough to justify constant full support and production, but if splash released ala Space Hulk, can still turn a pretty profit?
Think about it. So far nobody has much of a clue as to exactly why a game as predictably popular as Space Hulk would ever be just a limited release. And yet, since they have the moulds, it is entirely possible that it could be republished every now and again as a Christmas Special etc. The same could work for the other games.
What do you reckon? I fervently hope I am right on this one, as I want more Naval Action in particular!

100,000 units is quite a large run.
I expect they will sell out and made their budget plan on that condition.
They can't be as certain of the level of ongoing sales.

Silly American! Innuendo, like Irony is lost on you Colonial types! BAH!
And with rumours of this being an outsourced production (possibly a GW funded FFG effort?) I reckon we might well see another temporary ressurection of an old classic next year. Would be a good annual event if you ask me.

Yea if Space Hulk proves to be successful, which it undoubtedly will be since it caters to vets and newbies alike (minus the price), then I can see GW releasing future specialist games in a similar fashion.

If this goes well - and given that Maelstrom's 15 copies sold out in an hour, you can imagine what's happening elsewhere in the world - I think we can expect a similar style release for Warhammer.
I'm thinking Quest, which would be interesting. The only limiting factor with Quest is that Quest relied on a LOT of cards - my Quest box is filled with ziplock bags filled with Event Cards, Magic Cards, Treasure Cards, Dungeon Cards, Character Cards and so on. Printing card-stock is expensive, and then you add 100+ cards to that? Plus all the counters?
Then there's the fact that Quest came with a metric feth-ton of models:
Barbarian
Elf
Dwarf
Wizard
3 Minotaurs
6 Orcs
6 Orcs w/Bows
6 Goblin Spearmen
6 Goblin Archers
12 Skaven
12 Giant Rats
12 Giant Bats
12 Giant Spiders
12 Snotlings
That's not a huge amount by today's standard - Skull Reach or whatever the Fantasy box is called probaby has more, and bigger models as well - but this is in a box packed to the brim with cardstock tiles.
I think that a limited run Adeptus Titanicus is more likely - with 6 plastic Titans, and some buildings and maybe a double-sided game-board.

My fear is if they were going to re-do an Epic game, rather than Titanicus or Space MArine/Titan Legions edition, it'd be a new box for Epic 40,000 or perhaps an actual boxed game version of Epic: Armageddon.
Personally I'd like to see a return of the old GW board games with the cardboard counters. I had Horus Heresy and Doom of the Eldar (both long gone thanks to my trans-atlantic migration) and I want to get Battle for Armageddon just to say I owned the complete set.
So, come on FFG, step up! :p

I doubt it. Same reason I doubt Man'O'War. Neither of them are self-contained games - they require rules for all armies, models for all armies, lists and lots of other things.
Hulk and Quest were self-contained and outside of some non-mandatory expansions you could play with what came out of the box and not need anything else. Titanicus lead to Epic, but it was also self-contained (as far as I know).

Fair point there about the need for other items along with the release.
As to how well Space Hulk is doing, local Store Manager told me that according to Mail Order, a quarter of the sets were sold by late afternoon yesterday.
Wasn't too sure whether thats a quarter of all sets printed, or a quarter of Mail Orders allocation though.

I don't see a Gorkamorka re-release for the same reasons I don't see a Necromunda re-release, Epic, Man'O'War, Mordheim, Inquisitor and so on.
It needs to be supported, and GW will not support it. If they can't give it to you and wash their hands of it completely, they won't do it.
That said, thinking about it, of all the games that need support and releases outside of the boxed game, Gorkamorka is the most likely as there is a huge Ork range to choose from. But still, not self-contained, therefore unlikely.

IIRC it's been 10 years since SH was on sale. doesn't GW have a 10 year cycle that they have to renew their copyright?

I'll speculate about SH itself. I highly doubt GW will make more minis for SH, but what is the possibility that FFG will make some new tiles and missions for what exists (or what you can purchase from GW)? That might yield some reasonable sales. For purposes of general excitement, I read my Citadel Journal #2 last night, which I bought just for the Harlequin Space Hulk rules (which can be found online so don't waste time on ebay). Space Hulk is completely self-contained, but it can certainly be added to. The good news is that if GW/FFG won't do anything with it, the fans certainly will.
As for the question at hand, I'm sure they'll consider similar releases. But I'd also bet that SH was the #1 on that list, so it's sales will represent the highest sales point. So that might drive some of the decisionmaking.
Anyways, still excited for the game.

Updated minis for Quest would be great. When Quest first came out the plastic characters were pretty impressive - we hadn't seen detail in GW plastics like the Elf and Dwarf before, so they were a big deal. The rest of them though - one pose Orcs, one pose Goblins, one pose Skaven etc.
Worse, as I got my set 2nd Hand, someone painted all hte Goblins up in red, white and black like Santa's Elves!!!
Newer models for all the monsters could be great. Other than the Minotaurs that is - GW has never made a good Minotaur as far as I can tell ('cept maybe the Blood Bowl ones).
