They are slowed I lost my Warhammer Quest Boxes when Katrina hit new orleans and I could not get to my storage shed :(

3 Boxes plus various units of Fantasy Figures Wardancer; Witchunter; Pitfighter ;

Ugh.

Also your friends are slowed.

Warhammer Quest is fething awesome. It's literally Diablo in board format.

The Best part about quest was that you could scan in and make more tiles with Plasticard add Warhammer Fantasy figures.

Such a great game.

For me, the best thing about Warhammer Quest was the White Dwarf article showing you how to convert your Quest character into an uber-killy WHFB character. This was in the Herohammer days, of course.

You know, WD would be an excellent candidate for new Spulk rules, additions, the odd tiles and other additions from time to time. Sure, 99% of the buyers will be stuck with pieces of cardboard they don't use because they were silly gakkers, but still, it would give WD some purpose.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

They did that in 2nd Ed. Posted about 4 additional multi-mission campaigns in WD. Each one had between 3 and 6 different missions, some of them with new board pieces that came with WD.

This was back during the cardstock days during the late 199's/early 200's.

I'd suggest Advanced Heroquest would be a better candidate for a re-release.

It was almost a Fantasy version of Spulk.
Decent rule set, with advancements for characters.
Good range of minis, only skaven bad guys though.
It had a similar board system to Spulk as well?
Could also be played Solo if I rememeber correctly?

I never bought Heroquest, seeing Advanced HQ as a better game; but no one else ever seems to have got/had it. Still got mine though, filled with dozens of the early metal Skaven & ogres as well as the (I think) a few of the really cool plastic henchmen figures that came with it!

Wasn't HQ by MB games anyway? I enjoyed playing the computer version of it, does anyone know a an emulator that has the original HQ (with isometric view) on it? I tried to find it a while ago but only found a new top down version of it.

edit: just realised that I confused HQ for Warhammerquest, Doh!

To clarify :

My understanding is that FW are doing some work, and it's at an early stage from what people have said, on a titan vs. titan game, a bit like Aero. Imp. I guess.

I guess this could involve other epic scale models, but AFAIK the ones that have been removed are gone due to moulding and sculpting issues and the almighty £/$ return for those/development of replacements. I'm guessing that the expanded FW fantasy stuff will take up resources too which will, hopefully, enable a greater £/$ return than... I dunno... epic scale hammerheads or the like.

Not long after the release of the last Apoc. supplement a guy in my local GW store brought down a load-- like 20 odd-- of the old Plastic titans from 1st edition Adept. Titan.. We dug up a few epic scale vehicles and played using basic 5th edition 40k rules and had a blast. We improvised a few bits and bobs to do with number of turns titans could make, but it worked really well, and bu using the CoD buildings you actually felt like* you were fighting in and around an actual massive Hive city.

I've been trying to get some of those titans on ebay, but they go for stupid money.

*more or less anyway.

I wonder if any other Forums are having similar ruminations. If not, can we send 'messengers' out to start these threads elsewhere, in the hope we can cajole GW into at least thinking of a Quest re-do (if they aren't already).

Was told by my local store manager that Mail Order had flogged over a quarter of ther available units* by mid afternoon on Monday, so SH has certainly been some kind of success!

*We weren't sure whether this would be a quarter of all available units, or just Mail Orders allocation.

There were Fan made modules for Neverwinter Nights of all the HQ misssions. Worked okay, but they were a bit hit n miss on difficulty

I too would like to see the return of the Quest. Having said that a Titan v Titan game would also be great (especially if it had the return of knights)
