We normally catch it slightly later in the UK my wife is starting to make cakes like the Ace of Cakes guys do, this should be an interesting watch

I watch this show because, let's be honest, cake is sweet.

That aside, that squig looks delicious! Now if only we could eat it without it trying to eat us...

Well... I'm kinda dissapointed. Everyone knows O/G mushrooms are Red with white spots.

Look up squig on google. Orcs use them in fantasy (not sure what for dont play fantasy). Orks use them as bombs or attack dogs.

There's all kinds of squigs. Attack squigs, oil squigs, there's even eatin' squigs... dey get eaten. Now dere's cake squigs... dey get eaten too.

What a riot. I wanted to hide my head when the fans gave a big WAGHHHHH! My wife asked me if they really did that and I had to tell her "yes" lol.

I'd never heard of Ace Of Cakes till Baltimore Games Day this year, but we've been waiting for this episode to air since then just to check out the presentation and see how Games Day appeared on the show. Just finished watching it and discovered my spouse was visible in one of the scenes in the show. It was interesting seeing how they built a cake that was so large and complicated.

Yeah, that was a great show. The WAAAGH!!! yell was something I never thought I would see on T.V.

This episode was good. The white cake was cool on its own. The squig cake was awesome. The information they got wrong was slightly amusing. The downside was that they didn't show when Duff got the Golden Demon. There was too much of me (like a second) and not enough Elena Fox. However, there is never enough Elena Fox.

The thing they got most wrong was about the unsafe nature of the Pinto, but that's a whole other story. For those too young to remember or who've never seen a documentary about this or read up on it, here's a good summary at the link below. Don't worry the problem was eventually fixed, after someone was horribly burned over most of their body and their life was ruined...

Well, the cake was commissioned by EA. I doubt they decided to research the origin of the IP.

It's official: I can't watch an episode of Ace of Cakes without craving cake halfway through.

Seeing the armature they built for the squig was great, and I love that the goblin head was a rice krispy treat!

Yeah that was pretty intense. Too bad they didnt show him with the armor and sword pretending to attack the Squig. Also too bad they didnt show him getting the golden daemon as stated before... Although the in game duff was pretty intense haha

I too, had a problem with it being called a video game convention, but at the end of the day, do the producers of Ace of Cakes really give a flying farce if the get the event details right? Of course not, they just need to make a show that brings in viewers and ratings.

Even with that being said, I made it onto tv so I can't complain. My kids will get a kick out of it.

I found it interesting that Duff states that it was probably the best cake they've ever made and it really pushed their skills in cake art. Hooray! Who knew that squigs could do that?

My girlfriend and I watched because she loves the show and I also enjoy the show, but wanted to see the squig cake. Duff seemed really into it once he saw what a squig is, but it did frustrate me they kept refering to it as a "videogame convention."

I agree with fabricator g: at the end of the day, they just hope people are happy and that things look cool, I'm happy they were willing to make the cake in the first place.

My girlfriend also did the, hey do they really do that? When the waagh went off, i reluctantly admitted "yes." Then give minutes later the "have you done that." Of which of course "yes." I was also surprised people still goto Gamesdays

I took my GF to Games Day with me. She wanted to know what it was all about, so I figured, why not. I was sure to warn her about the ongoing "WAAAGH!"

OT... It's very cool that Duff thinks it's the best cake they've ever done.

Squig Hoppaaaaaaaaaaaa!, thats awesome

First time I ever watched a cooking show... and I too was offended by the 'Video Game' Convention error.

If Duff said "Yeah we're making this cake for a Tabletop Wargaming Convention" it would have sailed right over the heads of 99.47929% of his regular viewers. But the general public knows what a video game is I say close enough, it's just cool to have it featured on tv like that at all

I wish they would have said Wargaming Convention as well, but since it was for the video game, I can forgive the error.

My wife thought the "Waugh!" was crazy, but was not all that suprised that I had participated.

I liked the CGI at the end with Duff as well.

Yes, it was quite hilarious that he was wielding a giant spatula.

Everyone seems to be frustrated with them calling it a video game convention... i am as well. However they said it was commisioned from EA for WAR... That being a video game and all the info they appear to have gotten... I would say its more EA's fault for faulty info :O

EDIT: I thought the WAAAGH was weak for Games Day... There didnt seem to be a ton of people participating in that one anyhow so I can understand O_o Any WAAAGH is a good WAAAGH though... Except when grots do it... theyre voices is too squeeky
