Has anyone seen anything about this game in development?

It looks very interesting, and I think I'll be picking up the box when it comes out!

Please, oh Please! Don't let this be a resurrection of Crimson Skies.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Hey. I actually miss Crimson Skies. It's silly in a pulp kinda way.

I liked the look of Crimsom Skies, I bought the game and a few planes.

I can already see it now, Dreadnought classes will be overpowered.

As a BFG player with multiple fleets (painted!), this is a nice effort, and very interesting alternative.

It's a Catalyst game - the current makers of BattleTech - so expect the rules to be top-notch. They care about making a good game, not selling flashy new model kits.

And apparently they ditched the pre painted idea. Yay for cool unpainted models.

While this looks quite promising I really hope they include naval units as the battle described in the on-site fiction sounds quite compelling.

I've been interested for a while now, can't wait to see the models and hear some mechanics!

I'd like to know why the leviathans have guns on top. Wouldn't it make more sense to have them under the carapace? So that you'd actually have a chance to shot at the targets below?

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it.

But it's hex based, so I'm not interested.

Here's another vote for actual naval units to be involved too.

Now that would be cool!

it will be more fun that only one faction got their guns under belly and the other faction only got guns on the top

Reminds me a bit of the comic "Red Star" ...

BFG-esque with BTech-level rules has me interested too.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Because they are designed as standard wet Navy ships that FLY. The setting is the early 1900's, so that thought probably isn't there yet. Might be a later addition to some ships.

For the introduction to the game, the Leviathan is more a proof of concept than a completely thought out and long-designed project.

As long as Jordan Weisman isn't involved this may actually be good.

Most big gun turrets are held in place by gravity alone. The mechanism for inverting even a basic gun mount would be incredibly complicated (you would need two sets of hydraulics to control elevation, for example), and heavy. A true, inverted turret would probably be impossible with anything even aesthetically close to turn of the century technology.

Then again, they have flying battleships that appear to be floating on concentrated vapour of suspension-of-beliefia, so the thought process probably didn't get that detailed.

Looks interesting. I'll watch.

Don't worry about that. Jordan Weisman is no where to be found at Catalyst.

This looks great, I really like the Steam-punk feel of it all. I really hope this comes out as a full game, I don't mind about it being hexed as I think it's a bit easier to get good game flow. I've not long tried the old Starfleet Battles game, and hope this moves the theory forwards.

The ship designs they've shown so far look good too

Wait, then why are they making BattleTech?!

Neat idea with the ships though.

Yeah......awesome.
The fact that the minis are not pre painted and the hope that catalyst can turnout a good system makes me very happy.

Cloudships of Mars, oh yeah.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.
