Prologue
In the annals of Ork history there is a legendary hero--Stoutstump the Kitten eater. It was said that by sacrificing
these loveable creatures to gork and mork Stoutstump could win any game of chance. By consuming the kitten essence Stoutstump
could always count on the bones turning up on the good side for him.

I won the roll and decided to go first. I placed my objective in the center of the table near a ruined shrine
My opponent placed his objective in a corner behind a building. I deployed the nob battlewagon and the warboss in the
middle of the table. My opponent placed the two tactical squads and their rhinos in reserve and held the rest of his
army off the table. He then proceeded to seize the initiative. Well that's one dead ass nob battlewagon I thought.
My deff koptas scout move/turbo-boosted up next to my nob wagon.
T1
Blood Angels
The marine melta bikes roar on to the table followed by the Land Raider. They are heading straight for the nob wagon.
Dante and his assault squad as well as the death company move on to the board and secure the marine objective. The marine
bikes proceed to unload their meltas on the battlewagon. Something stranges happens--nothing. The bikes fail to do anything
to the nob wagon. The Land Raider fires its weapons and . . . nothing.
Orks
The nob wagon roars ahead and tanks shocks the marine bikes with its deff rolla. Blammo! Six hits. The marine bikes fail their
saves and are crumpled underneath the rolla. The other three wagons roll 13" onto the table. The two deff koptas eye the
Land Raider and decide to have a go. Both hit and--krak!--the Land Raider is immobilized.
T2
Blood Angels
One of the tactical squads arrives from reserve. It drives onto a far edge of the table--potentially flanking to contest the
ork objective. The immmobilized land raider uses
POMS to move forward a few inches. The assault sqaud and death company remain
behind the building--there is nothing for them to assualt yet.
Orks
The koptas turbo-boost to get
LOS to the assault squad and death company. The nob wagon rolls up next to the Land Raider. One
wagon moves over to engage the rhino on the ork right and the remaining two wagons drive toward the enemy objective. The assault
phase sees Angus the Warboss make a boarding plank assault on the
LR. He wrecks it and the terminators and Corbulo come out.
T3
Blood Angels
The assault sqaud and death company jump over the building and move to engage two battle wagons. The terminators move to assault
the nob wagon. Dante's pistol shot misses. The assault phase arrives and the terminators wreck the nob wagon. The nobs pile
out looking forward to assaulting a terminator squad. The death company and assault squad hit the mek's wagon and a second wagon.
The death company wrecks the mek's wagon but Dante and the assault squad fail to dent the other wagon.
Orks
The koptas move to get
LOS on the rhino. The Big Mek and his squad move to assault Dante's squad and the death company while the
nobs prepare to hit the terminators. The functional wagon next to the big mek tank shocks the assault company and--blammo!--six
hits! Four assault marines are crushed. The nobs shoot the terminators and kill two. The deff koptas continue to perform well
by immobilizing the rhino on the ork's right flank.
The assault phase proceeds as expected--a total bloodbath. On the ork right a squad of 19 boyz and a nob hit the immobilized rhino
and explode it. Six orks and 1 marine die. The nobz hit the terminators and kill corbulo and two termies but suffer five wounds
themselves and see Angus the warboss chopped into bits. The nobs have lost combat and fail their morale check. They flee 8"
(thank gork and mork that termies cannot sweeping advance)! The Big Mek sqaud assaults both Dante's sqaud and the Death Company
with poor results. Quarters are tight and only about 10 orks make it into combat. The marines kill about 11 orks. A nob
with a klaw swings at Dante and misses with all four attacks. The rest of the attacks manage to kill 1 death company.
The game is rightly over at this point and the Blood Angels have won. The nobz are fleeing and the consolidation of the assault
squad and death company will put them within 6" of the nobz to continue to herd them off the table. The severely reduced
big mek squad needs 1,1 to stick into combat and prevent this unhappy scenario. First roll: 4,5. The bosspole comes out
and....
T4
Blood Angels
My nob squad continues to flee. The good news is it will get a rally roll. The remaining marine rhino arrives from reserve.
It moves onto the marine objective. On the ork right the tactical squad rapid fires at the boyz squad and kills half a
dozen or so. The boyz route and won't be coming back. In the assault phase the Death Company and Dante's sqaud make short work
of the Big Mek and his few remaining boys. However, two rounds of fleeing have put the nob squad out of reach of them even if
they get a 6" consolidation. They roll poorly enough on their consolidation and move back towards their objective.
Orks
Yes--the nobz rally. The remaining full battlewagon tank shocks Dante's squad without efffect. The deff koptas turbo boost
back to get
LOS on the rhino squatting the marine objective. The nob squad fires at the lone remaing terminator and bring him
down. In the assault phase the orks deploy a boarding plank and a nob assaults Dante with a powerklaw--killing him to death!!!
T5
Blood Angels
The tactical squad on the ork right warily moves towards the nobz/ork objective. The few remaining assault marines and death
company move to back up the rhino on the marine objective. The tactical squad leaves the rhino and fires on the koptas. They
kill one and put a wound on the remaining kopta.
Orks
The battlewagon with a full squad steams towards the marine objective. The ork squad disembarks. The kopta move to assault
the squad as well. I declare a waagh! and roll 2"--it's still good enough. The orks assault the rhino and the tactical squad
on the marine objective. The marines swing first but only kill a couple orks. The orks wreck the rhino and kill about half
the squad. The buzzsaw equipped kopta brings down two marines.
The game continues.
T6
Denouement
The remaining death company and assault marines join the battle on the marine objective. The tactical squad on the ork right
moves to engage the nobz, or at least contest the ork objective. The battle on the marine objective rages but the orks have
the upper hand. Only 1 assault marine remains.
The game continues...

The last marine dies clutching the marine objective in his hands.
