As the topic says above.

I bought a Tau army (which I admit, cost me very little - £75) and now after looking at the Ork dex, some of the models and playing them on DoW, I want an Ork Army.

Has anyone else bought an army and then chosen another one?

Probably Nurgle, Africa has the lock on that.

I just bought IG but now every time I look at SM I almost regret my choice but I think I'll stick to them cause I love the customization they allow.

I jumped on the IG bandwagon when the new codex came out (just 1000 points worth for something different). I played about 10 games and decided I didn't care for it, so I sold it. Now I'm starting DH, and I wish I had kept some of those models... :(

How do you think I've ended up with every army in the damned game?

I did that for 2nd and 3rd Ed.

I think I'm going to cap my Tau at 1K and start Orks.

Bonus to this is, I have the Gorkamorka rulebooks, that will keep me occupied while collecting and painting Ork.

I'd suggest holding out until you hit 1500, as that seems to be the sweet spot for Tau (IME).

Just to be a turd in the punch bowl, I'll point out that my IG were my first army, and still my largest and most played.

Since then, I have a space marine army I've built up as a secondary army, a huge eldar army that's about 10% painted, a bunch of unpainted and played nids, and 500pts of lovingly converted and painted tau that I ran out of steam on. I've also seen a chaos army get lost in a bad break up (long story), and more than one quickly aborted attempt at an Ork army.

So, I know what it's like, but at least I have one army that I"ve stuck with for about 7 years now.

I agree - I just wrote a 1500 list and I'm liking it too much to drop it.

1500 it is, then onto the Ork.

Necrons.

After trying to build them and reading their codex, I scrapped that idea right quick.

Moved to Tyranids as my second army and I'm lovin it. Haven't played em yet, but I love making those Carnifex's.

Oh yeah, I think I put together about 1000pts of those guys using the old models, and then sold them when I got bored.

I started with 'nids, decided that I did not want to play them as I could not get into them. I then bought some DH from a buddy and started reading how they could team up with the IG so I decided that the IG would be my main and the DH would be a suppliment to to my IG army... lol

I started with IG, got to about 3,000 points, didn't regret it until 5th edition came out (while the codex was still 4th ed). then started space marines, and it was all good...

Sure. I've bought and flushed:
- Dark Eldar
- Kroot Mercs
- High Elves

But all of my major armies I've kept.
