Just following on from Deadshane's good news about his son.

I was honestly wondering if any member of Dakka that has had relationships in the past have successfully avoided nutcases in their daliances?

I haven't. Was dating an absolutely gorgeous woman a couple of years back, and when we split up (her choice) she suffered a touch of the mentals and lost it with me.

Initially, we split up because being a single mother, she felt she didn't have enough to offer me. I disagreed but hey, not going to press the issue if there is a chance of rebuilding further down the track. Couple of weeks on, and she starts texting and calling me, accusing me of being a skinflint, bully and all manner of things under the sun.

This is not the first time such things have happened to me, and I'm beginning to wonder whether my taddies have some kind of psychoactive ingredient causing it.

So we know Deadshane and I (to a lesser degree for me) have run afoul of mentalists....has anyone else?

Well, I have slept with a girl and found out she was married the next day and did it to get at him, always a fun one. Dated a heroine addict, less fun. And dated a girl who had some rather odd (and not odd as in good odd) bedroom preferences, no fun.

Can't say I have managed to steer clear of some odd characters.

I had a girlfriend who was obsessed with Twilight (I don't get the rage, but that in itself is not odd.) She wasn't a goth per-se, but she did prefer to wear a lot of black. Anywho, we were making out in the park and she got a little carried away, at first they were just little lovebites on my neck but then she REALLY started digging her teeth in, enough to break the skin. Needless to say we both freaked out when I started bleeding (not much though). After that she wasn't really interested in the relationship. (I figured things were wrong when she stood me up on valentines, but there was never an offical dumpage). I kinda felt used though...

Nope, one of my ex's was a nympho but that's not as bad as the last one a Bi-polar schemer.

I miss the Nympho she made life exciting.

I dated an insane woman from Tamworth who not only become completely unhinged, but played the love hate game on a professional level. She also slept with half the foreigners where we lived. Then she became my boss. Alas, Khornholio was adrift in the abyss of horrid ex-relationship / work relationship. I forsake the Blood God and turned to the Beer one instead during that time. But the laugh was on poor ol' simple Simeon her ex, the dude she left for adventures abroad, who ended up marrying the most insane woman ever.

If Simeon hasn't blown his brains out yet, or woken up with a knife jabbed into him yet, I'd be surprised.

I had the misfortune of being too close to a real bunny boiler.

I was lucky, very lucky indeed that because of her poor reputation, and my good name the police didn't believe her claims. She even brought 'witnesseses', but others including her mother spoke in my defence before I got to hear of this.
They were the sorts of claims which even if there was only a small possibility of being true are normally vigorously investigated and utterly wreck the life of the accused.

She was being all sweet the last time we met before this too.

Dated a girl that pretended to be preggo to try stop me from breaking up with her. Almost worked, except she is a pathological liar. And, I made her take a preggo test. It came back negative. She then went around saying that she had been in a car wreck and miscarried as a result.

I think she's now a druggie (?) with a different sucker every day. Not sure, haven't seen her in almost 3 years.

My little brother, however, is not so lucky.

He likes the redheads (like me). Unfortunately, he attracts the psycho ones (Yes, there is a difference. I got the 'normal' ones.).

Nah, women are also crazy. Men and boys are crazy too.

I dated a girl who spent some time after the breakup ringing up friends of mine to ask about me. With, like, really transparent excuses. She may or may not have been driving past my house at night, we were never completely certain about that. She did parked across the street from a girl she thought I was seeing. Thing was though, I hardly even knew the girl, we didn't put 2+2 together until about a year later when we bumped into each other at a mutual friend's house.
