The essence of Drinkhammer is that it should be a different game entirely,

Each Player beginning at turn one, accumulates one shot glass per turn.

All shot glasses are placed on the table
during the top of the turn before you roll for reserves.

Shot Glasses accumulate every turn ie; turn 3 each player gets 3 shot glasses.

Glasses may be placed anywhere on the table 1" away from any model.

Whoever leads the turn places glasses first.

During each players movement phase he may drink the shot to move the glass 6" or remove the glass from the table. Glasses are moved before models.

Each player MUST move/remove at least one glass per turn, if they cannot, they concede.

You may only move/remove as many glasses as the number of the turn your in, ie; by turn four there are 8 shot glasses on the table, player 1 may move/remove four.

Glasses are treated as impassable terrain to everything, block line of sight, and give units behind them a 4+ cover save.

All glasses are removed at the end of each turn.

It's best to use empty shot glasses on the table (for obvious reasons) keeping one to the side and taking a shot to move/remove a glass.

This adds a completely different level to the game in both strategic movement of cover, and strategic drinking.(turn six is tough)

Hardcore version leaves remaining glasses on the table between turns.

I say a nice big sip of beer for each objective you dont control, and both players take a sip if it is contested.

Otherwise ever failed leadership (woot for my goblins) or ever wound you take while fearless.

Or if you want to give lower level players an advantage, every time the winning player routs a squad, seizes an objective, or he touches a beer glass, he drinks

Between turns, after the game, for kp, for objectives and pretty much throughout.. Hhmm might be hard to focus by the 4 turn.. IDK guess won't know till I try it

Don't forget a shot for every destroyed vehicle.

Also, the effects are cumulative, so if I kill a carnifex, I'm taking 2 shots, 1 for the KP, another for the MC killer.

In fact, the most possible would be if a Hive Tyrant contested an objective, was shot and killed, and the troop choice that killed it captured an objective. That'd be about 5 shots in one turn.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

now lets also consider tolerance to alcohol. Im not saying that we are all light weights here, but this isnt freshmen year anymore, and i haven't exactly had time to lay around and build a resistance to alcohol poisoning.

5 shots before the end of a turn might find me wrecked in 20, and my opponent may have to finish a perfectly good warhammer game solo.

I say steer away from the shots until end game unless you really dont plan on surviving turn 3.

depends what you're shooting.

Eristoff or Glenfiddich would make for a nice game

Everybody here thinks you should take a shot when you kill an opponent's unit.

Why not you take a shot when YOU loose an objective/IC/MC/KP?

How about shot glasses count as units. Each army must choose one drink to fill their shot glasses with.

Shot glasses 50 pts

WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
4 4 4 4 1 4 1 10 3+

Squad size: 2-5 shot glasses per squad

Wargear: Shot glasses may be armed with one of the following
Tequila at 10 pts, whiskey at 10 pts, rum at 10 pts, vodka at 15pts, moonshine at 20 pts. Every unit in the squad must be armed with the same weapon.
Special rules: Fearless, shot glasses are to drunk to think to fall back.
Where is the gun?: Shot glasses are just shot glasses, and have no arms so they can't hold weapons. Instead they splash their content on the enemy, poisoning them with alcohol. When firing the player must take the shot to represent it being splashed at the enemy. It has the following profile

str 5 ap 4 template (poisoned)

If you took vodka subtract one from AP, if moonshine is taken, add 3 to strength. When fired it must spend a turn being reloaded, it can not be reloaded in close combat.

Empty: When reloading shot glasses lose fearless and take all leadership tests at LD7. as well they can not assault as they do not have their liquid courage. They may still be assaulted and fight as normal.

Shot glasses are a single elites choice, if vodka is taken they are a fast attack choice, if moonshine is taken they are a heavy support choice.

Ok outside of the profile I can't drink yet so if I made poor choices regarding the liquor just correct it. Look for strong stuff as higher point and follows (roughly) the profiles I've made.

Well you've got the spirit..

Don't drink Vodka in shot form, unless it's really good vodka.
And moonshine isn't exactly readily available to most people.
I suggest whilst playing your own games (when your 21) to stick with actually drinkable liquors or Shcnapps..

You'd need three colour minimum for your shots, obviously.
So some of these:

Why was vodka more points than whisky? Where I am, all the vodkas are the bare minimum alcohol content (37%) whereas the Scotch is 40%-44%

No, it sucks if you are playing the fearless army. Who wants to stand around and watch others drink?

Objective Rule Variant.

Place 2D6 objective shot glasses on the table (double this if you are playing 2v2 or increase/decrease by alcohol tolerance). Players Alternate placement. Scatter the objectives 1d6 inches using the scatter dice, stopping when contacting impassible terrain or deployment zone edge. No more than 2 in your deployment Zone. If a scoring unit makes base contact with a shot glass in either the movement or assault phases, controlling player consumes the shot.

Play continues until all shots are consumed, an army is wiped out, or until you are too drunk to remember rules/roll dice/accurately measure 6 inch movement.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Two additional rules to go along with my previous one.

Endless War Variant Rule

Send in the next wave: When shots are completely consumed or an army is wiped out, roll for an additional 2d6 objectives and add them to the table. Scatter as normal, however scatter 1D6 + 4 inches. If they come in contact with a unit, immediately stop and place them one inch away from the unit they contacted.

All destroyed units may re-enter the game per the reserves rules on a 3+

DRINKS FOR THE BEER GOD! rule

All units are subject to frenzy/furious charge if they are within charge/assault range of an objective. This frenzy only allows you to charge/assault the objective or an enemy unit within 6 inches of the objective.
