I'm looking for a good anime series to watch. I've already all the dragon balls, bleach and death note.
Thanks for the help.

Full Metal Alchemist is pretty good.

Black Lagoon and Gurren Lagan, especially the latter is surprisingly good from time to time, with none of the usual deeply-rooted emotional baggage usually associated with giant robots.

I strongly second Code Geass, and Gurren Lagann.

Kurozuka was dark but I enjoyed it.

Hirugashi no naku koro ni kai is like a murder mystery with supernatural elements.. Its has a Groundhogs Day movie type format..

I am a huge Macross fan and would totally plug Macross Plus and Macross Frontier.

For more mellow experiences i would recommend Kurenai, and East of Eden, and if you can handle a little bit of romance then Toradora! might be fun.

While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

I generally despise this genre but a good anime I've run across would be 'Princess Mononoke' - a relatively trippy and entertaining move. However I was pretty stoned at the time.

Anime and good are pretty mutually exclusive for me, however I would recommend anything by Kurasawa. Not anime, but wierd Japanese live-action.

+1
Also you get a point for quoting Megadeth.

My main beef with anime is that even the ones that seem good eventually go from "good" to "bats**t crazy"

Kannazuki no Miko: ( one of the best ending to animes )
Not to mention very high lvl attention to detail drawing emotion / reactions between the 2 main chars

(if it wasnt for the weird first 6 episode, this would easily be one of the best animes)

GTO is very good as well. My wife actually watched this one with me and she liked it.
Tenchi Muyo? I didn't think I would be interested in it, but I watched like 20+ episodes of the series.

hmmm, there is A LOT of anime out there that will have you thinking WTF?!?

But there is also some very good anime out there, my favourites though have already been mentioned. (Princess Monoke, Spirited Away etc)

I would advise getting Nuasicaa: Valley of the Wind, though. That's a good one. (Make sure it's not the american cut version)

The response of a true anime nerd. The original FMA (Not the OVA which moves too quickly and is far too kawaii for it's own good) actually was arguably one of the best anime ever made. It had a well written plot, concise character development, a believable and clever setting with real world parallels, excellent animation, and most importantly of all a level of maturity that is so terribly lacking in most anime.
