I think it depends on two things:
1) What old white guy the Republicans nominate
2) The state of the economy.

I look for the Dems to lose seats in Congress because the US economy hasn't rebounded yet. While it could bounce back by next year's elections, I don't think it will rebound fast enough. If the economy does rebound in the next three years, Obama should win re-election.

I think he will be re-elected, but the Dems will lose control of the Congress and Senate. Should be a very interesting Election.

The big predictor for Obama's re-election is the economy. If he can get it rolling by time to run again, he'll make it back into the white house most likely. Sure, health care might foul him up, maybe a couple other things, but most likely that's how it will go down.

I think he'll be the Democratic candidate. It's rare to drop the incumbent president.

I don't know if he'll win. We still got a lot of time before the next election.

LOL. He's not even one year into his first term. Things didn't look good for Clinton in his first year or two either, and he ended up winning a second term and probably would have won a third term if he had been allowed. Not that I want Clinton back...I'm glad Hillary didn't win the nomination, FWIW.

Timing probably favors Obama. Barring unforeseen events, economic matters should look more favorable in 3 years. The Dems are going to lose seats in the midterm elections because that's always how it works. But I dunno that they'll give up control next year or in 3 years. Demographic trends favor the Dems over the long-term unless the GOP reinvents itself a little.

Another point...having someone to demonize isn't enough to win a presidency or most higher offices. You need a platform and message. John Kerry learned this.

Obama has shown he has no clue now that he has been in office long enough. I am tired of the endless theatrics and it's looking like the liberal press cannot dig him out. Unemployment is close to 15% now.

I don't know if Afrikan Blonde is black or not but in his defence I saw a black guy with blue eyes in Exeter UK Saturday and I used to go to school with a black girl with beautiful light green eyes...

Last months unemployment was 9.8%. Octobers unemployment numbers are not out yet as the month is not over yet.

With that cleared up. Obama's had a rough first year so far with no real accomplishments as of yet, but he has lots of time still. Stop watching CNN. Actually, stop watching 24-hour news. It's all gak.
