So in one of the movie threads a few of you talked about the hellraiser movies. I agreed that they were good, and so have been in the mode to watch one.
I rented HellWorld, and man let me tell you, that mobie SUCKED!!!!!!! If you cut about 25 secs out of it at certain parts of the movie, you wouldnt even know that it had Pinhead or the cenobytes in there! Its easily as bad as Halloween3 (or was it 2? The one about the halloween masks and not Micheal Myers) AND Texas chainsaw massacre 4. ARG what a pile of crap.

Ok just had to complain lol

Yeah, its always sad when they milk a great film series till there is nothing left.

Try reading the original short story Barker wrote that formed the series. Pretty fethed up.

That would be Halloween III: Season of The Witch.

Carpenter saw the Halloween as a series of scary stories that would come out each year under the banner Halloween. Like Creepshow but instead of a bunch of short stories it would be a different story each year. Obliviously that didn't work out.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Barker is remaking the original himself, to try and wash away the tarnish of the ongoing disgusting sequal degredation. I am praying it's Doug as PH but I'm thinking he's gotten too old for the part now. I've also seen some pretty crappy looking pinhead reimagining photos which are by a make up artist and not official (and I hope they stay that way).

OOOOOO A remake would be supreme. I loved the first movie for sure. Thats really what got me into them. So dark and sadistic. Hmmm reminds me of the DE

The first 3 movies were great, especially Hellbound, the rest of the movies that followed pretty much tarnished the Hellraiser legacy really

For a little kid like I was "Season of the Witch" was scary. The idea of haloween masks turning melting your face off? Scary stuff.

And by the way it wasn't really that bad.

If you take the out the "Halloween III" prefix and watch it as a standalone movie, it's actually a decent movie.

At least it didn't descend into self-parody...
