Let's face it, a movie this big can only go one way, it will either fail on an unprecidented scale, or be such a huge success that it'll redifine the term 'blockbuster'.
So, what do you think.
For know, I want it to go well, but just don't think it will cut it.

Define blockbuster please.

For know, I want it to go well, but just don't think it will cut it.

Your right, but it won't be the opposite of a blockbuster, especially when Transformers 2000 can be considered one.

Having not seen it, I don't have much of an opinion of Pocahontas in Space yet.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I think the trailers looks similar enough to the movie "Battle for Terra", that the scriptwriters for both were sitting in the same room as they worked.

It could also fall somewhere in between, too. Not all movies are wastes of film or the next Star Wars/Titanic, some are just kind of ok.

I really know nothing (nor do I want to) regarding this movie.

I will say this. Slapping your name on the title is not just hubris but also marketing. Sadly, I think we can all agree it doesn't mean a film will be successful or any good.

It's OT, it doesn't need to do with dakka.

It's the off topic forum, you can go wild with whatever you want to say.

Weiner dog sees your avatar plus 20 chips, Doritos that is, on the terms that this is Dakka OT.

NOTE:
You may think my costume is simply a disguise, but to that I would say. And now for something completely different.

Not quite, but nice try though. This is the OT, land of the zebras, not home of the trolls.

Yes, but it was a discussing the action figures, not the movie itself.

Avatar looks like it might be a pc film, but Cameron was historically more of a right winger in his director commentaries so we'll see. In the interim:

Why do the humans want to take over a planet where they cannot breathe the atmosphere?

Apart from investigating the floating chunks of rock and chopping down the forests seems pretty odd as a place to want to me.

I see it as another preachy environmentalist film, like Battle for Terra only with better graphics.

As Isaid not certain. I'm not certain Cameron's into preachy tree hugger stuff. We'll have to wait.

I was wrong about Titanic. I am hopefully wrong about this one as well.

I have heard nothing about this movie.
