What kind of scale is it?

Hey Antman,

Here is a good photo that shows his size amongst some games workshop mini's.
He is 45mm to the eyes and in Kingdom Death size he should be 7-8ft tall.

yeah,
Nice model.

He doesn't fit with 28mm heroic, too big to be a Inquisitor and too small to be converted to a DaemonPrince in 40k...
which is a shame as I think that character he has could have made a ace nurgle DP.

maybe some one can find a way to use him as some giant necromancer in WHFB?

Again with minis in wierd ass scales...

I suppose you could make him into a nifty Nurgle Herald for a daemon army though. It just makes me sad to want these awesome models so hard, but have no real use for them other than oggling and painting.

Great sculpt, but I think that pole there is a little too short to hang anyone over 3'.

That's a great model, just too bad that it has an odd scale.

Who says Demon Princes always have to be gigantic? Their model size doesn't fit with their stats, imo. I think this guy would make a great demon prince.

And why is everybody immediately trying to think of ways to use him besides the character he was forged to represent? I guess that's a side effect of the game not yet existing...

yeah,
I agree with Wehrkind he'd make a nice herald with a few small tweaks. I'd remove his pistol for something more 40k like a spacemarine helmet or something?
I'd also remove things like the hand trophy and skulls at the top of the gallow that give away his true scale.
If I was converting him to be a Nurgle herald i'd probabily change the gallow to a manreaper... a few icons and he'd be sweet! (how many are left again!)

I think the reason I would not use him as a DP is more to do with the size of the official DP model, not the fluff or stats.
I wouldn't want to get called on modeling for advantage / line of sight abuse.

I also think the reason people are looking for counts as options is because the OP is hawking his wares on a forum dominated by 40k Fans!?

Panic...

Edit: I made some negitive comments about price and stuff... they didn't add anthing to the thread so deleted them.

Ouch! I'm getting beat up out here!

I totally understand your reservations regarding the miniature and his scale. He was created as an elite monster for our game and we wanted him to physically tower over the players which range from 32-38mm in size.

We also agree with the price being a bit high and I'd love to get it down. As it is currently, its just covering development costs and resin casting.

Perhaps I made the news post a bit too informal. I quite happen to like Dakka and I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes here. Our first figure was uh, recived much better!

@Panic, In regards to the painting coupon, I wish I could offer a larger discount. The reason we don't pay studio artists to paint miniatures ( beyond the cost ) is because we feel that is a bit overdone. I find it personally hard to judge the quality of a miniature when all I can find are images of it cleaned, assembled and painted by an artist of great skill. We wanted to present our stuff "naked" and hopefully it would inspire people to have fun using it in various ways.

If there is a better way or tone we can take when communicating news of our project, I would be happy to adopt. There are not many forums that even offer the place for independents like me to share information, so I am very thankfull!

yeah,
I didn't mean to sound so negitive, the interwebs has a way of making people sound so one sided...
I deleted off my overly negitive comments, they were unduely harsh and I'd like to point out my first comment was 'Nice model!'

I would like to own one.

I think you're model is awesome!
(in fact I ordered mine a couple of days ago)

I actually am pretty upset I didn't get my hands on the first one, I missed it by a couple of days. And since the first one was a half naked super hot chick I'm really surprised it was received by a bunch of gamers so well

From what I can gather you KD guys are doing something really cool by merging artsy and simple with gamer dorkness. Initially I too was thinking of how I could convert the model into something else, but I am sure now that I just want to paint it and put it on my special model shelf. Keep up the great work and as long as you keep making quality micro-brewed mini's I will keep buying them...

ps. PM me if there is any chance in hell I could get my grubby mits on the White Speaker.

Cheers

My background is in design but my passion is with nerdy games. It's getting pretty obsessive when it comes to the printed rule books and source material. The two sides of me tend to argue sometimes.

@hashshashin,

I would love to get a white speaker into your hands! Our stocks are still totally dry and we are still making our decisions about a 2nd run of her.

That is the White Speaker. Their first model.

I believe it already sold out.

I think that comparison shows that the Man-Hunter is meant to be tall for any scale.
