BOLS - forums, but this could be bogus.. who knows.

I've heard no such thing in my morning stroll through all the rumor sites. Likely it's someone just starting a sick joke.

Yeah its that BOLS posting contest- that has motivated and brought that kind of dumb rumor.

You can take them for all i care. I'm austrliaian and i'm stuck here because Austrlia costs too much to live in. damn my budget. So i'm living in the states.
But i did talk to jervis at gamesday chicago and i learned alot.

In their entry, they also broke the rule

Can we not make jokes at others' expense? Is that not the principle dakka was founded upon? We cannot blithely cast away the liberties our forefathers bequeathed us, for once they are lost they can never be reclaimed as easily. For we are a forum, a forum of malcontents and black-hearted farceurs.

Man this is weird. You guys whine and complain about Jervis and when somebody makes a joke about him you get all offended and say "Guhh that's not funny" and "That's in bad taste really the guy who made that joke should be maimed" and stuff like that.

There's a difference between being angry about the stupid decisions that Jervis has made and wishing for him to be in a position where he could die and his family put in jeopardy.

Even YOU can understand that.

Disliking him for what he has done to GW is one thing, wishing a heart attack on someone is another.

There are very few people who deserve to die. Jervis, as much as we dislike him, is not one of them

Just because you've had a heart attack, doesn't mean you've died... My great-uncle, an orthopaedic surgeon, had seven heart attacks in his lifetime before the last one knocked him off.

I agree, however it seems to be acceptable as long as its a joke and not a direct attack.

No one here is wishing Jervis had a heart attack. They're just amused by it. And it's not the same thing.

When you watch a tragedy you don't wish the hero would fail, but you still derive entertainment when he does.
