This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

This made me shudder. 2 Meltaguns in the whole list and only one flamer template. You must not be playing with much cover OR against competent lists/generals. This list looks fun, but not going to be successful in most very balanced environments. I really don't mean to offend you in any way it's just that this list isn't competent for 5E and won't work very well in most situations.
@ OP
The problem with what you are asking is that any list can really be successful... (look above) it just depends on what kinda lists people play in your area.
Because there is no established "metagame" in the Warhamms (because GW won't rank players like MTG) any list can literally be successful. It depends on the game type and lists your opponents are playing.
There are certain lists that can do well in all Environments (i'll post one) but really I would find out how the people at your LGS etc... play. If you play with no terrain then hell yes grab something akin to the list above and plasma / las death your opponents.
But if you play somewhere that uses big boards and a lot of terrain and the players are mech, then grab something with more meltaguns and flamers. Or if all your opponents are foot but there is a lot of cover grab a lot of weapons with a lot of shots and be meched up and (for once) forget the mass meltagun horde.
Something like this might suit most environments:
2000
Space Marine Captain - 165
Relic Blade; Bike
1 Dreadnought - 125
2x TLAC
1 Dreadnought - 125
2x TLAC
Terminator Assault Squad - 675
10x; 10x TH/ SS; LRC w/ MM, EA
Space Marine Bike Squad - 290
8x; 2x Meltaguns; MM Attack Bike; Meltabombs on Sarg
Space Marine Bike Squad - 185
4x; 2x Meltaguns; MM Attack Bike
Predator - 85
AC; SSHB
Predator - 85
AC; SSHB
Land Raider Redeemer - 265
EA; Multi-Melta
Termies combat squad into LRR and LRC
Long range killing, fast troops, death from terminators... Not much else to say. Bikes can combat-squad into tank hunters and bolter-harass units.

Actually, we play with alot of cover. Routinely 50% of the table or more. The generals in the local area aren't bad either. My list tends to success by isolating the units I need to shot the most, manuevering for open shots, and being able to win in either the long range shooting game or the assault game depending on which opponent I'm facing. There are alot of marine players, but hardly anyone plays with more than 1 LR so my lascannons are sufficient. The few who use dual LR spam I can usually kill one or cripple one with the lascannons and seperate his assault elemnts. There is a Mech Eldar player who uses primarily wave serpents, so the lack of melta doesn't matter too much. The Chaos players use dual lash but with alot of defilers and Rhinos and little in the way of land raiders. The demons tend to be Nurgle/Epidemus lists.
The three 40K tournaments I've been to in 5th Edition, I am 9-0 with this core list including wins over Tyranids, Necrons, dual-lash oblit spam chaos, orc foot horde and orc battle wagon spam. I tend to have more units than my opponents and the ability to lay redunant fires at multiple points on the battlefield. The list still has 8 lascannons that can shoot at 7 different targets, 2 missile launchers that can shoot at 2 different targets, and 2 MMs that can fire at a single target. Theoretically, I can destroy 10 vehicles a turn with just ST 8+ shooting. Unlikely, yes. But it makes life difficult for high AV targets. It also makes dealing with MCs much easier than you might expect.
@ Addielube---Its a 1750 list.

This will deal with any mech list that you can throw at it, you are over looking the fire power that this list can dish out. You have to step out of the mind frame that meltas are the answer to everything. Meltas are good to shoot at tanks, but if you assault a tank with 5 marines a SGT armed with a PF and the rest with Kark Gen. you'll have a better chance of killing that vehicle.
On one turn this list can put out 16 str 7 AP 2 shots with 8 re-rolls, good-by Termines.
And terminators are really not that good, to many points.

Whenever you and I are in the same town then, we can throw down. I've played the same list against every meta-list mentioned on this forum and beaten them. I'm not afraid of the challenge. Just because you're not used to seeing it, doesn't mean its bad. Go look at Darthdiggler's list that won 'Ardboyz.

Well, its not against you, PLeader. And I always like to play against good players.
But GT lists are hardly posted here at the forum (like in any other forum).
By the way, 2500 pts is a different story. I simply don't have the opportunity to play at this point level.

Well, the normal level is 1750 pts ( RTT's and GT this year) or 2000 pts ( GT final last year).
I've no experience at larger point levels (2500).

I would add 2 heavy flamers on the ironclads in a drop pod, that was usefull
The techmarine with the Thunderfirecanon was also hard to kill, mainly becus it kept, making my people fall back (if not destroying them completely.
The vindicator is also very useful, mainly because of the demolisher canon.
I personly like the space marine tactical squad with 9 marines, all bolters and 1 sergeant with a storm bolter and power sword.

I didnt know you could put 10 models in the razor back.
You can't.
But a Tactical squad can have a Razorback as a transport;
remember that a full tactical unit can be combat squadded.

It looks like it can wreck most rhino/chimera/serpent mech but whats the game plan against hoard? It doesn't look like it has something that can really trash a mob in assault or shooting quickly nor is it loota proof. It feels like some kind of defensive plan is needed.

I am a forum noob.
Now that's said, may i ask who Stelek is, and why there seems to be so much Dakka drama regarding him?

I've heard of him too, may have posted in his bat reps too.
I think he is the loudest biker player around here.
As to Stelek's list...meh.
Usage is a very important factor to a marine list. For a biker list, putting up a list doesn't really tell much about it (I'm guilty of that in my fist post).
Stelek's list is more flexible than mine, and another 500 points higher.
Mine is pretty streamlined.
I personally play between 1500 to 1850, sometimes 2000. But like Wuestenfux, don't go beyond 2000 regularly.
As to expanding from 1500 to 1750...........it's been 5 months... and I still don't know.
And I'm glad there are no 'no-brainer' additions, many of the options all look viable and fun to use.
My last game at 1750 with the biker list saw the inclusion of 11 Repentia + 1 Mistriss for fun/kicks/giggles...it didn't end well, but it was fun while it lasted.
Sadly, I think it'll be another 5 months til I narrow it down to a handful of choices...

Against hoard, my general game plan is to refuse a flank and force them to come at me piecemeal. I can usually condense into at least a slightly smaller area than most horde forces. Deploy the marines in cover when possible and use the 24" bolter range to full advantage. I combo the HB bikes, the AC/ HB predator and the Thunderfire on the most threatening mob/swarm and use the massed AT fire to take down heavier targets (dreads, kanz, MCs, Wraithlords, etc.). The general goal is to whittle down their numbers so two combat squads can hit a weakened unit and destroy it in one turn. I tend to run the powerfist/sword in one combat squad and the las/ plas in the other. The close combat weapon teams work together to take down enemy units in assault when needed and the shooting squads work together at range. Hoard is a tougher match up for me than mech, especially in objectivesm but I can usually work through the problem by carefully picking which objectives to contest and using the Razorbacks superior mobility to keep my units at the edge of the hoard rather than running full on into its teeth.
