I'd like to take my orks to a local tournament and wanted some thought and suggestions on this list. I don't have my codex on me so the point values are hazy, it should be 1850 though. Thanks!

Warboss Gorhound- cybork,eavy armour,attack squig,bosspole,combi skorcha

Bigmek Blunutz-kustom force field,burna,eavyarmour

7 nobz- 2 pk, 1bosspole, all w/ cybork, shoota scorcha, painboy, big choppa, bosspole

battlewagon-red paint, eavyshoota, riggers, armor plates, reinforced ram

30 slugga boyz- 3bigshoootaz, nob w/ pk & bosspole,

20 shootaboyz- 2 big shootaz, now/ pk & bosspole

19 gotz 1 slaver

20 ard boyz 2 big shootaz, nob w/ pk & bosspole

battlewagon- red paint, eavyshooota, riggers, armor plates, deffrolla

15 lootaz

3 deffkoptaz w/ twinlinked rokkits

This army has worked well in the few games I've played with it except against daemons. 50 bloodletters!

Leave off the boss pole on the boss. It has a high leadership anyway and most likely go with the nobz unit, which has a bosspole anyway.

Why have you got two bosspoles in your nobz? They don't all have different wargear so wound allocation won't work.

Armour plates or grot riggers, I don't think you need both. Deffrollas rule btw!

Problem is you have two transports, one for the nobz and the other I guess for the lootas. Pop the nobz battlewagon first and they're foot slogging, pop the lootas wagon (which is easier said than done) and they're in the open and have a poor armour save. You need more moving targets for dual threat, targets and support.

Hey thanks for the tips. My usual strategy is to mount the nobz boss and big mek in one battlewagon and the ard boyz in the other. I know some people don't see the ard boyz being worth it but they have a great staying power once they get stuck in. But any ways I throw them head long at the enemy outflank the deffkoptas and march the rest minus the lootaz. The double bosspole must've been a typo. oops

I think I'll go with armor plates, the big mek is usually close by anyways.

And that's good to hear about the deffrolla, I haven't used it yet. An after thought I had against the daemons was that one of those would be handy next time. Bloodletters were a huge nuisance.

Well thanks alot man, I'll have some extra points left over to add a couple more shoota boyz or fill out the grot mob. Everything is almost painted too! Can't wait to do some Bashin'

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

A few notes for you:

First, I've written bloody books in some of the other Ork army list threads here; check the first two pages, and read some of my tips so I don't have to retype all my common sense stuff about theme, supporting units, principles of warfare, and stuff like that.

Presuming you do that and see the gaping weaknesses here and adjust accordingly, the only advice I have to give is this:

Before you take deffrollas into a tournament, call your local shop or TO and ask about using them against vehicles. Its a hotly contested rule without a clear answer and everyone has a different way of working it. If your local shop says that it doesn't work, save yourself 30 points across your two battlewagons by using rams instead.
