The Frenzy is the annual Dutch Games Day and it has moved up a notch, skipping 2009 and instead taking place early 2010. Forge World and Black Library will be attending, along with members from the Studio for the first time round. There will be a three round tournament (40k, Fantasy and LotR, no WotR), beginners day (you get a free model, can build a piece of terrain for free, learn to paint and how to play) speed painting, scrap daemon, terrain building and all that other stuff. There will also be a painting contest along the lines of the Golden Daemon, only without being named as such.

Op 23 Januari 2010 is het weer zover. Onze fameuze Frenzy vindt plaats in de RAI in Amsterdam (10.00 tot . Deze dag wordt gevuld met een Dubbels Toernooi met hele mooie trofeeen (2 per winnend team), een beginnersdag, speedpainting, scrapdaemon, terrein bouwen en er is gelegenheid om je spullen te bouwen en schilderen (wel je eigen materialen meenemen) en om 1 op 1 gevechten te spelen. Forge World en Black Library zullen ook weer van de partij zijn en de Studio zal er ook bij zijn! Tevens is er een winkel om je gewone dingen te kunnen halen.

Ook is er een plek waar ouders kunnen zitten en waar ze een kopje koffie of wat te eten kunnen kopen.

Als laatste is er natuurlijk ook onze Nationale Verf Wedstrijd. Heb jij het in je om de beste schilder van Nederland te worden. De categorieën zijn: Single model, Unit, Monster, Vehicle/Warmachine, Open en Youngblood (14 jaar en jonger)
Toernooi kaartjes zijn 17.50 euro per persoon. Er zijn 3 Toernooien. Warhammer, Warhammer 40.000 en Lord of the Rings (geen War of the Ring). Er zullen drie rondes gespeeld worden en daarnaast is er voldoende tijd om rond te lopen en te kunnen genieten van alle andere dingen die er zijn!

Beginnersdag kaartjes zijn 12.50 euro per persoon. Je krijgt een model om te schilderen er wordt een battle met je gespeeld waarin de regels worden uitgelegd en je mag een stuk terrein bouwen (deze mag je meenemen en af komen maken in onze winkels). Kies zelf welk spel je wil leren (Warhammer, Warhammer 40.000 of Lord of the Rings)

Toegangskaartjes zijn 12.50 euro per persoon. Je mag de hele dag meedoen aan alle activiteiten en ook een stuk terrein bouwen als je wil.

Toegangskaartjes zijn verkrijgbaar aan de deur. Beginnersdag moet van tevoren geboekt worden bij 1 van de Games Workshops in Nederland. Dit kan telefonisch, per email of in den lijve.

That may or may not be ridiculously overpriced or incredibly fair.

€17,50 for the tournament tickets, €12,50 for standard entrance tickets.

Even though my parents live in the Netherlands, I still struggle with the language ...

Any idea if BL will bring some guests?
And do they sell the english version of the books? Havent seen a durch version yet, but everyone should avoid the german prints if possible

As far as I know there will be one or two BL guests, last year we had Nick Kyme who held a signing session and a quick Q&A.

And thankfully no, they don't translate anything into Dutch other than starter sets, the rest is all in English, for which we are very thankful.

Can I get (tournament) tickets in advance? I see tickets are available at the door, but I'd hate to drive all the way up there only to find that there are no tournamentplaces remaining...

Tickets can be bought in one of the three GW stores across the country or reserved through a phone call.

Where can we find more info on the doubles tournament? What army points, what missions will be played, etc ...?

Update on the guests: Simon Egan will represent Forge World and Aaron Dembski-Bowden will represent Black Library. They will also pre-release Soul Hunter, A Call to Arms and A Thousand Sons.

I can bother Simon, but Aaron? I've gathered from his blog that he doesn't like signings all that much. Instead I'll just get advanced copies of said novels and taunt you with that okay?

I'll need to pack riot gear then, GW is known for doing limited advanced releases. I value my pretty face and all my teeth.

You'll be amazed what they can do with soups these days, you don't need teeth.

Pictures I am going to try again, last time at the Frenzy they had a feth-load of red shirts hovering everywhere telling people off for sporting a camera. I wasn't even allowed to take pictures of the ork plastics that were previewed in the WD a month before.
