Yes. They have a great codex and some really nice models. They strike the balance of cool and silly/ridiculous that 40k has always had.
I played them before they were cool. I miss my Wolf Charms :(

Grey Space Marines? They're pretty cool. The Grey Space Marines like to drink beer and wear a lot of leather. They also like hunting and fishing and riding Harleys and watching college football. They think the Blue Space Marines are wimps and question the lifestyle choices of the Green Space Marines. And they have super powers. No one knows why anyone plays anything but Grey Space Marines.

To the OP: dont worry about what other people think about the army, GW does a good job of making all the armies pretty cool. Play what YOU like, and you will enjoy it.
If you are considering the Space Puppies, go for it, if you think that nids, or chaos, or IG are cooler, go for them, its up to you.

Space Wolves have always been very popular. I remember back in 3rd edition when rhino rush was king, Space Wolves were one of the three most popular armies (BA & BT being the other two). They kind of took a dive in 4th in terms of popularity with the death of rhino rush but you still saw a good number of SW pod armies. 13th Company was by far one of my favorite armies ever.
The only thing about SW I am not a big fan of is the baby blue power armor... I really dig the grey a lot better. It's not a big deal though.

I have been playing Space Wolves since 1st edition. The only time I stopped was a couple of months after the 2nd edition Codex came out. It was because before it came out I was the only one, and then ¾ of the local armies were Space Wolves. This almost made me hate them.
But I better now.
