After seeing the mark 8 power armor in the Imperial Fists thread, I would like to see more of it.

If you have more info on it, more pictures, links to any minis wearing it, and/or a how-to.

I just like to look of it

Four scholars at Oxford were making their way down the street, and happened to see a group of ladies of the evening. “What’s this?” said the first. “A jam of tarts?” “Nay,” said the second, “an essay of Trollope’s.” “Rather, a flourish of strumpets,” advanced the third. “No, gentlemen,” concluded the last. “Here we have an anthology of pros.”

I recall that before they redid the Space Marine Tactical Squad boxes, the Sgt. was given MkVIII Armour.

Mk.8 power armor is just mk.7 with neckplate and abdomen plate.

Mk.8 is more than the gorget (on the sergeant torso) and belly plate (on the skull&bones aquila torso):
- new helmet with revised earpieces
- new backpack with additional upper armor / shielding

The de-emphasis of marks is a really poor decision on GW's part, because players love to personalize this way.

If GW would just include a mk.8 head, torso, & backpack on each 5-man tactical sprue, that would be awesome for the players.

Also the shoulderpads are different and the welding. The shoulderpads are a smooth surface with random high tech looking grooves on them, and no raised edge. The leg armor looks like its connected along the sides with a vertical groove along it. And the chest has the eagle replaced by more of those sci-fi grooves, ant lastly the armor has hip plates.

Look in the Imperial fists thread for the pics I mean.

I would just like more info and mayby a how-to.

Huh?

see here: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/File:MkVIII_Errant.jpg

The shoulderpads still have a raised edge, and leg armor is mostly convetional (aside from the inner disc at the ankle), with extended kneeguards.

If you buy a Tac Squad, the accessory sprue includes a Mk8 torso.
