I had already cut him up for use on my venerable dread(one of the legs had melted ..) so i thought 'why not?' since it makes good terrain and LOS blockage Im about to update this , i have succesfully glued the ork wall to this platform so i feel like i must update , since i promised to myself and you dakkaites that i would post freaquent updates

Needs more Orky Gubbins on the wall. Totems and plates and tires and such. And the dread needs to be scarred and damaged all to hell.
Otherwise, good start Why is the Tau in the pipe though?

UPTADE ! Well , hope this is'nt thread-o-mancy ...
Anyways , I have now fully sanded and sprayed the model .
What im thinking is :
- The dread to be either BA or Ultrasmurfs
- Drybrushing the sand in Deneb stone for extreme brightness
- Painting the ork wall red with orkiness(eg metal scraping and dirt)
C&C More than welcome

I dont have a gaming board , infact I barely play . My FLGS usally just puts the things randomly onto the table , the only gaming board they have is a space station so .. yeah .. my army on the other hand usaly has a highlight from black to codex grey .

Sheesh...kids these days.
I still have nightmares about deaths involving toxic waste and vans travelling at high speed.
Diorama looks good. I'd be tempted to add a few larger pieces of rubble/rock, but that will make it more difficult to balance minis.

I vote for more skullz and helmets around the sacrificial mound. Maybe some other shamanesk dodads. Maybe some bloody ork footprints in a jumble right around where the blood would pool.
I think it's tough to make the marines look died, being so covered in armour. I've seen some amazing chaos and undead marine conversions n this forum. Here's a bit of the thread:

That bloody trail is where the dieing marines were dragged from the vehicle, I take it?

Nice attempts, but I gotta criticize a few things: The "Blood" from that knife looks like someone spilled ketchup on the terrain. Try using inks instead of whatever you used. Busting open a red pen and painting that on with a crappy brush works great, but it's kinda got toxic fumes, so best to do it outside. Or, other hobby lines offer gloss inks that work great. The blood mist above the hilt of the knife has no actual splatter in it. It's just a pinkish tint on the rock. Why? Try googling "Bloodsplatter". Sure, it might reveal some gruesome pics, but as far as helping your technique, it's a great and indisposable tool. I found my blood techniques for weapons and terrain have really improved since I started by looking at real-world examples. There's still a marine in that Rhino. Drill him out of there. And if the Rhino blew up, why isn't there scorching around any of the hatches. It also needs a good deal of dusting near the treads. You've started, as I can see, but you need to drybrush a lighter colour in small quantities to help bring it out more. As well, the heat of an explosion would warp the area around the blast holes. Grab some pliers and twist some of the plastic outward, like the blast warped the armour. The Rhino's paint is just too solid overall for a battlewreck. It needs scratches and chips in the paint where the metal is showing through. I have a Rhino and an LR in my P&M blog. Check those out for some examples on scratching. My last issue is the blood from the hatch. It's a solid carpet. There's no streaking, no breaks in it. Just a solid, red bar. It's not very convincing as a blood-trail. Try breaking it up and making it look streaked - like someone tried to crawl away from the wreck. Again, real-world examples will help immensely. Basically, these would do just fine if you're trying to fill up a board quickly. But I'd really like to see you go back and readress them when you've got the time. These could be awesome terrain pieces with a little more detail put into them

Thanks
The bloddy trail IS where the dieing marines were dragged form there , you are correct . I just ahvent finsihed washin the sacrifice area to make the trail complete. The "looted bits" are the best exuse I have gotten so far . They are basically just bits I lost as the Rhino ended in my "unfunished ideas" drawer . I would make the space marine more "dead" , unfortunately , I dont know anyone who could give me skeleton bits , and since he is a blood angel it might be kinda hard to drybrush blodd on him Althouhg i will try .. make a blood pool leaking from his wounds and on the ground or something
metallifan : Ah yes. You might want to take one thing into part though . 1) The pictures a heck lot brighter than the actual RL terrain . And even thouhg it looks thick and way to much , it looks tottaly different in real life . Its just a (very very) thin coat of PVA glue , then painted scabred/chaos black mix , washed , drybrushed terracota . That marine is supposed to be there . I just havent glued the hands to him yet .
Like I said , I havent extaclty finished him yet(well .. I was gonna say that , but I forgot to say so here to , only worte it on the Icelandic forum ..) i still have some minor details and some drybrushing left to do .
Anyways, thanks for all the comments I'll re-do the battle damage and all that once I'm out of ideas
Anyways , I'm out of ideas for now . Well , not ALL out . I just need more material to do the ones I have . The rest of the ideas were :
- A medium/small sized Graveyard . Maybe a couple of looted graves ?
- A small sized ork camp . Four or five shacks , a fire in the middle and some ork bits spread around
Any Ideas , C&C and trolling welcome !

Again, make a note to go over this and break up the blood trail a bit. It'll look a million times better. I don't know if you have a copy of MW2, but if you do, look at the blood trails left by dying enemies trying to crawl away. They aren't solid red trails, they're made of many smaller streaks of blood. Making the marine more dead - put him on his back and use a file or a hobby knife to put a gash in his neck or his stomach. If you do a stomach gash, you can use GS to make some organ spillage. And we don't drybrush blood. We use ink and apply it in a splatter.

HOLY F K! I think you're the first person to actually spell my username correctly! You get an E-Cookie. Now then, the problem is that you used PVA glue in the first place. It makes things too smooth. It works -great- for filling up rivers, channels, and deep pools (Keep that in mind - you'll save cash on gloss varnish by using this for the filler). But for bloodstains, use watered down pen ink, or use a gloss ink from Tamiya or Army Painter. Don't use PVA glue for making bloodpools, and don't use red paint for colouring them. Unless you want it to look like the "Strawberry Milk" blood from low-budget 80's B-films. Trust me, grab a bottle of ink, or a red pen, and use that from here on. You'll thank me for it.

I am going to go over the trail . Thing is , I cant find a store that sells ink on a reasonable price . I would settle for 5,000 - 9,000 crowns(about 39 - 50 bucks due to economy ..) but the cheapest my dad could find was for 12,000 crowns(about 95 bucks) for a pot thats the size of around 5 GW ink bottles ! My FLGS does'nt sell GW Inks , sadly . Maybe if I paint ofer the trail i got now and then repaint it using multiable washes , yet making a trail ? If that would work out , what wash do you recommend ? Im thinking a mix of sepia/baal red.
HOLY FK! I think you're the first person to actually spell my username correctly! You get an E-Cookie. Now then, the problem is that you used PVA glue in the first place. It makes things too smooth. Lol , always love getting someones name/username right And an E-Cookie certainly wont hurt me Ok , but how do i get the PVA glue off ? I hardly think I can just scrape it off . Ah well , if i dont get it off then let this be my lesson . Last time using PVA glue for blood pools Check l Xl
Thanks But , woah ! That looks to big . I was thinking just four or five shacks seperated , onlu enough room for a bed , weaponary and a grot cage maybe ?
Anyways , I want to do the graveyard first .
Im thinking to use foam to cut out the walls around . Then have a gate on each side . Badly cut out Gravestones and crosses spreaded out and a walking bath . Maybe a tool shack/house somewhere were it would be usefull for LOS blockage ?
