Hey folks!

I'd like to put Disintegrators onto my ravagers, but don't have any actual modeling ideas to make it happen. Advice, thoughts, pictures....a completed project already done that you'll sell to me....*laughing*

Bumping myself back onto page one. =p

I was thinking that instead of creating disintegrators, trying to make crew members, mounting (and eventually magnetizing) them all on my ravagers, I would just stick some dark eldar warriors in there with splinter cannons (which don't appear anywhere else in my army) and call them disintegrators. Thoughts?

Well splinter cannons sort of look like disintigrators, I dunno how that would roll for tourneys tho.

I'll be working on mine tonight. I'm actually gonna make something that looks unique, aka doesn't look like the books disintigrators lol

For tourney play, how many people actually know what a disintegrator looks like? I don't!

If I put splinter cannons on my ravagers and say that they are disintegrators, what's wrong with that?

Nothing, unless you face one of us few who have built up DE armies and know the weapons. Then we make you shoot splinter cannons.

Hey dash, I whipped up 8 disintigrators tonight. Wasn't too hard, I used Dark Lances for the base gun, a bit of rubber tubing (like you'd use to hook bunsen burners and stuff together, I got it from work), and some green stuff. I cut off the gun 2 notches past were the bottom part of the barrel curves in. I actually found 1 disintigrator in my bits as a baseline for the size. After cutting em off, I used the tubing to link the two parts sticking out at the stock of the gun. This made it look like the transfer tube for the dark matter (I'll probably leave it clear and not color it). I glued the tubes on. Then I green stuffed where the tube touches the gun to sort of blend it (I used too much GS on some of the guns as you can see, hopefully paint makes it look less... bleh). I then used knives/cut off blades from some of my chaos guns, along with some GS, for the blade at the barrels bottom. And lo-and-behold Disintigrators! Heres some pics of em for you;

I'll attach em to my ravagers once I fix them up (they're pretty beat up). But hopefully this helps you out some in making yours! I'm not a good converter, my lack of patience makes some of my stuff sloppy, but it works
