Was going to show my gf the ultraforge Greater Plague Demon, opened the website and it isn't there...

Anyone know why? I love that sculpt and I'm keen to establish it's not been pulled due to one of the recent bits of hatemail GW have spammed the rest of the hobby with.

If those pics are of the mini in question, I can see why GW would have an issue with it. Just compare it to the Forgeworld Great Unclean One.

If you look close enough on the back of him there are three pits that are somewhat spaced apart but are close enough to resemble the actual nurgle symbol. So GW banished it into the unknown and hasnt been seen much since.

Yeah.... I can see why GW would want that one pulled. When the pics first loaded, I thought it Was the Forgeworld GUO, albeit a converted one.

Well from what people have told me one of the FW sculptors quit and started ultraforge now if this is true or not i dont know. I havent researched it to find out.

Yeah i dont think he is since hes located in Canada. From what i read it is just Jeremy and Sophie running UF and part of what you pay goes for a good cause.

They worked out of their gargage in Canada. All of their greater daemons are better than Forgeworld IMO.

I think they're really pretty much the same, though I like Forgeworld's Slaneesh one better than Ultraforge.

Chaos Ork still has it they have about 6 of them left but it is now OOP

I saw one go on Ebay for sixty quid the other day.

Except FW stuff is double the price and I find the UF models more durable

But with all fairness, dont you think they look like the FW ones?
and majority of people buys ultraforge's greater demons use them for count as GW ones .

This demon is to the GUO as BTs are to Balrogs, Pit Fiends, Balors and so on, the LoC is a Tengu/Skeksis. The Last edition Hive Tyrant was the alien queen.

GW was in no way threatened by this sculpt from this husband and wife operating out of their garage in Canada.

I wonder just how GW claims to 'own' a fat demon of disease. I strongly expect they just spewed a threatening letter and relied on the gamble that a tiny company like ultraforge would capitulate rather than take on the multinational corporation.

They look like generic fantasy demons to me. GW can't sue people for making generic fantasy models.

ok with nurgle especially for anyone who has read on deamonology GW has no claim to that name honestly. Why because nurgel is a lt in lucifers armies, and yes is the lord of disease and decay"BUT EMPCHILD DIDNT GW CREATE IT" the answer to that is well NOPE. MGS I agree it's bs and GW is a bully and will continue to be one until a company actually stands up to them. Stompa did you check with the WarStore.com? I bought the UF Greater Daemon of War from the WarStore.com and use it as my Bloodthirster. They might still have sonme in stock.

Seriously, that one sculpt was a fairly transparent copy of a Great Unclean One. None of the other demons have been touched, it was just one of that line. I would ahve liked to have him as well, but it just wasn't different enough.

Just to confirm, did Ultraforge explicitly confirm the model was taken down because of a demand from Games Workshop legal? Because there's nothing mentioned in your post that supports this allegation.
