All the same, it appears that those that seem to enjoy hating GW also seem to make it personal and have a great deal of hatred for people like Jervis Johnson and other people behind the game.
There may be apologists but they don't seem to hate an actual person that they don't know. They also are taking part in a conversation about a hobby they enjoy which seems a lot more productive than talking about something which many seem to openly hate.
Not that GW is perfect. They make some bad decisions often enough and they should be taken to task for those. On the whole, though, I enjoy their games and models for a lot of good reasons and the areas where I think GW falls short on I'll express my viewpoints in hopes that they improve instead of merely talking about GW's short comings as a way to feel good about one's self.
Casey, I have to wonder though.. I know Warseer seems full of GW loving, but I also notice (from personal experience) that warseer is very much controlled by its moderators. What I mean by that, is if a mod sees ANYTHING they dont like for one reason or another it is deleted.
From my short time here on dakka, the mods seem to take a much more "sit back and watch" role. They will step in if it becomes abusive to the members, but they will let people talk about companies and opinions much more freely then some other forums.
So sure, I can see you saying Warseer has much less GW hating, I do think alot of that is artificially controlled by the moderators.
Just my 2 cents worth.

This thread has turned into a public latrine. It's disgusting to see people crap here in the open. A lot of what has been said are bald face lies. I have lost a lot of respect for some people after reading their garbage they felt inclined to share.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I ordered one from Fantization back on the 23rd of Novemeber. So far I haven't received it yet, they have not answered the emails I sent them and have not returned my calls.
Sounds like they just might be a rip off artist. Automatically Appended Next Post: Chapterhouse wrote:

***The shaman took a long draw on the pipe before speaking again to the younglings huddled around the fire.
"Yes, he called them 'all the voices' and claimed they came to him to speak to him, that they were a choir of celestials...but in truth they were the howling anguished souls of all who had fallen to the banhammer, crying out across the gulf between worlds that we call the interwebs..."
His eyes glinted in the firelight and the younglings shivered, despite the heat of the campfire...***

Not getting the vitriol. Bad rumor appear. Rumor shot down. Score one for the intranets. Whats the problem?

Please give due consideration to the following:

Is it really such a leap of faith to suggest that they got a GW 'brick through the window'? I don't think so. This was a relatively new sculpt, perhaps the best looking thing they did and it vanishes without a comment on their site? The post mentioning extensive resculpting is old, I further suggest that the initial letter from GW legal instructed a removal and they attempted a resculpt to move it away from the GUO, further that GW remained unimpressed and pushed them again, hence the total removal of the model.
