Congratulations!
The first three months are the worst, then she will be showing some personality and ability to grab at things and so on.
My daughter was just brilliant fun, mixed with horror and fear -- I am sure it is the same for all new fathers.
Make sure to help your wife a lot. She is going to be doing the bulk of the waking in the night, feeds, and so on while you bring home the bacon. A good stock of frozen ready meals is a huge help at this stage.
Also, when people visit, don't let them stay long unless they actually give practical help. Lots of relatives and friends will want to land on you, coo at the baby, have a nice cup of tea and zoom away leaving the washing up once the nappy needs changing.

Thanks for all of the advice, I haven't really slept in 3 days. and mom has the beby completely spoiled.
Wensday I picked up my warhammer case to get a game in, caught my wife's eye and put the case right back down. So much for "that won't happen to me"  .
As for personality, I was holding her, she realised dad doesn't make milk, shot me a look that could kill, and screamed or her mom.
