Well, in the time I did my Kommizzork, I also got some stuff done for my Grey Knights. Mostly repainting some terminators, and taking better pictures of my Inquisitor and his bodyguard. Anyway, here's the shots.
Note that the terminator doesn't have his shield or basing yet, but he will get it.
The terminator armour was painted with a wash mix of medium sea grey, mithril silver, and boltgun metal. The darker model with the thunderhammer had more boltgun metal, and the lighter, psycannon wielding terminator has more mithril silver.
A new pic of my Inquisitor Lord, using the Anima Tactics "XII" model.
And his bodyguard, with a new pic. This one really shows off a lot more of him then his previous pic. I'm really happy with his face, and I think I got the eyes perfectly.

Quite nice painting on the termies. Liking the shade on the middle one in particular.
Your Inquisitor Lord seems to be lacking in the "extravagant´ness" area.
This may be on purpose from your side, but usually these guys are over the top, with scrolls, spare weapons, litanies and such hanging off them.
Otherwise great looking models, the bodyguard looks nice and different from his master, which is as it should be.

How did you like working with the Anima Tactics models?

The middle one was painted a long time ago, before I left for university. I happened to forget the exact mix required to get his armour proper, so I've always been a bit off. I'm getting closer, but I think I used a different grey from the one I have now.

There's some freehanding on the back, but otherwise, I envisioned him as the kind of character to watch from the shadows, not letting himself be seen very often, so much so that it's almost always his bodyguard representing him in Inquisitional meetings.

They're very nice. A lot less flash and mould lines then GW models (but then again, what doesn't?), and the sculpts are beautiful. They take a little more work to go together then GW models, and make sure you have some greenstuff on hand for gap filler. But once they go together, they look excellent, and are very fun to paint.

Sweet thanks, I asked because I am making an Inquisitor and Retinue for fun, and I found an Anima Tactics model that I want to try to use for my inquisitor.

My only question is, and this is largely due to having been out of the hobby for awhile, what is the affilitation of GK with the Imperium? Are they affiliated with it, or a separate, self governing sect? I ask this as the heraldry of your shoulder has an Imperial Eagle on it (what was this called again? I can't recall now) and if GKs are not affiliated with the Imperium that is out of place.
Love the mace though!

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

GKs are part of the Ordo Malleus branch of the Inquisition. They function independantly, and GK Grand Masters have seats in the Inquisition.
They are part of the imperium, but they're kept secret from pretty much everyone except the Inquisition. Even most Space Marines are unaware of their existence.
In terms of Governence, they operate differently from other chapters. They number around 3000, and instead of having a single home system, they're scattered accross the entire galaxy. They do have various temples, but they're kept secret from the public.
In terms of influence, A Grand Master's word is just as powerful as an Inquisitor Lord's. Automatically Appended Next Post: GKs are part of the Ordo Malleus branch of the Inquisition. They function independantly, and GK Grand Masters have seats in the Inquisition.

After the Horus Heresy, just before the Emperor was put on the throne, he ordered the creation of the Grey Knights. They're training is far more intensive then a normal Marine's, and their equipment is more advanced. They're meant to fight even the strongest forces of Chaos without flinching. It's also worth noting that the GK's geneseed is not known, but it is suspected that it came from the Emperor himself.
