I was bored so here is the background story for Lykaos Firebrow:

Lykaos Firebrow has risen quickly through the ranks of Harald's Deathwolf's company due to his uncommonly high regard for stategy and skill above brawling. He made his name and was risen from the ranks of the blood claws at the Battle of Grolgnar hive on Ivatnan IV.
It was during this battle that Harald Deathwolf on his mount Icefang and his bodyguard became surrounded by warriors of the emporers children. Although they fought bravely Harald's retinue was slowely being wittled down, but Lykaos, seeing his liege's dilemna, cunningly setup a flank attack rather than rushing in. The previously ambushing emperors children found themselves hit in the side by a pack of bloodcrazed blood claws and so became the hunted. During the battle Lykaos confronted a traitorous emperors children captain, they dueled fiercely but Lykaos, but a lowly bloodclaw, was knocked to the floor before being pinned there. As the enemy captain was performing the deathblow Lykaos grabbed his sword with his powerfist Stormhammer and unloaded its powercells. The resulting electrical storm fried both Lykaos and the captain and some nearby traitor marines.

After the skirmish Harald Deathwolf, seeing the broken body of his recuer surrounded by dead enemies, dismounted and loaded Lykaos onto the back of his mount. The apothecaries on the flagship Howlfang did all they could but chances looked grim for Lykaos. However he was visited by a vision of the primarch Leman Russ telling him his saga would not end here. The spark of life in him grew and the apothecaries brought him back from Morkai's gates.

Harald Deathwolf elevated Lykaos straight to his wolf guard and had a revered suit of runic armour fitted to him and his powerfist mended. From that day on Lykaos has been known for his superior tactical flair and has become the youngest Wolf guard battle leader ever beating Ragnar Blackmane's age of promotion by 15 terran years. The vision of the primarch has stayed with him that day and he has only told his lord. Harald has found great use for his young subject and if an enemy force needs to be routed then he knows where to look.

What do you guys think? (it is my first time writing the story for a character so be nice please )

The stripes don't look great in the pics but they are runes cause he is wearing runic armour. The red lines on his face are pack markings though.

Nice Wolves so far. Lack of replies can be frustrating, we´ve all been there, but I find that good pictures can make all the difference.

A white (or at least flat colour) background would really help your mini´s stand out, also, I´d make sure that every picture is facing the right way up before posting, to give a more professional appearance.

Your battle leader is looking really good, especially the freehand on him. The runic armour effect looks good as well, but some of the runes don´t look as "runic" as they might.
They look more like yellow and red scratch marks at the moment. A google search for runes should give you some ideas in that area.

I had my first battle on saturday for the tournament with my pups, it was against Tau and was the closest one either of us have played in a while.

The game was 2 objectives and table quarter setup.

His army

broadside + 2 shiel drones
3 stealth suits
2 crisis suits and commander suit thing, each with 2 shield drones
2 units of 8 (I think) fire warriors

Battle

He chose quarter first. I setup up first and was preparing my Space Wolves to attck when he seized the initiative.

Turn 1
He didn't do much but setup his broadside on top of the building and advanced his army leaving a unit of fire warriors at his objective.
He then had a pot shot at my vindicator with his broadside, luckily no damage done.

I advanced my troops leaving one near my objective, sheltered by the building, one advanced near my objective, another went left, my vindicator went left with my dreadnought, unfortunately my army was still bunched up.I fired my vindicator at the broadside killing a drone and my dreadnought failed to do anything.

Turn 2
He got his reserves(stealth suits) with the help of this relay thing and jetpacked them near my army, his crisis suits moved round the building corner and his fire warriors peeked through the window.
He opened fire with his stealth suits causing the vindicator to explode catching 7 grey hunters, fortunately only 1 perished. His broadside took care of my dreadnought, also exploding, luckily claiming no nearby troops. His crisis suits also managed to bring down a couple of grey hunters with burst cannons and misslie launchers guarding the objectives. The fire warriors rapid fired into my grey hunters killing 2 pack mates.

My reserves didn't come so I was left with moving my charred army. One grey hunted unit advanced to the breach in the building, while 1 bounded towards the stealth suits, and the other unit guarded the objective.
With a spray of bolter fire the grey hunters near the window took out 2 fire warriors , the other unit targetted the stealth suits doing nothing, and the last unit holding the objective killed anoth couple of fire warriors breaking them.
My grey hunters near the stealth suits charged to avenge the fallen vindicator and its crew, the combat was won by the grey hunters as they slew a stealth suits.

Turn 3

His fire warriors still didn't rally ( even with their bonding knife) and ran off the table. His crisis suits jumped to a better position while the rest of his army stayed still. HIs broadside lit up the sky as missiles and railcannon shots arced towards my grey hunters. The ones near the window, who were attacked by the fire hunters lost a further 2 reducing their numbers to 1. The crisis suits fired on the hunters guarding the objectives, however failing to kill any.
The combat in the left corner continued in a stalemate with no casualties caused.

My reserves didn't come .With my army sorely wonded the lone grey hunter let out a bloodcurdling howl, threw down his flamer and started to climb the building with his chainsaw, climbing a level and using a run move to climb up the next. The remains of the unit holding thhe objective held their ground, taking pot shots at the crisis suits.
The combat carried on with still no casualties.

Turn 4
The crisis suits fired apon the grey hunters with the broadside, unaware of the grey hunter climbing the building, at the sqaud holding the objective. They were wiped out.
The combat continued with still nothing happening.

My reserves didn't come as I rolled my fourth 1 in a row . My grey hunter climbing the building climbed higher before jumping onto the back of the unsuspecting broadside. He did nothing and passed all his saves. In the combat one of the grey hunters sunk his blade into a stealthsuits chest, but to his disgust the seargent didn't break.

Turn 5
He had nothing much to do so he readied himself for the inevitable outflank. The combat (on the highest floor of the highest tower ) carried on with nothing happening. The other combat ended as a grey hunter skewered the seargent and tore his head off.

My reserves came automatically and I ROLLED A SIX. His objective was right next to a table edge so I deployed, flamed along the line and shot with some pistols beforepreparing to charge. The 4 other grey hunters loped towards my objective. Lykaos Firebrow charged in with his 10 grey hunter packmates and slaughtered the fire warriors taking the objective. The lone hunter on the build caused a wound but he watched in dismay as the suit sealed itself from feel no pain snapping his chainsword, so he drew his 2 clan combat knives.

We rolled to see if game ended, and it did scraping the pups a win from nowhere. We did one more turn(which didn't count) just to see the final faits of many in the battle. The crisis suits couldn't break Lykaos and his squad and the other squad took my objective. The lone grey hunter fought on still clashing with the mighty broadside..............

Lykaos Firebrow sniffed the air, tasting blood,he ran towards the pesky tau cutting them down. Hhad been held up by kroot snipers and so when he had arrived uch of his force was in ruins. He saw the leader of squad canis, Sven Irenbeard, holding aloft the head of a tau which kept flickering in and out of stealth, He crushed an enemy with his great fist. He roared with triuph as the enemy commander fled with his bodyguard. Above hime in the ruin ahead, lightning arced around as the survivor of squad lupus fought hand to hand against a mighty broadside and his drone. The cost had bee high as he saw techmarines already salvaging the vindicator, and calming it spirit as dreadnought Snorri Ironclaw was put in stasis to be mended aboard the strike cruiser. It had been worth it however as another enemy of the allfather had been driven from his lands.

I have a question for readers, shoukd I use 3 landspeeders( 1 with missile launcher) or ven. dread with plasma cannon? I think I might use landspeeders cause it fits the theme more.

Grey hunters have red and black pack markings on one side and on other pad it corresponds to what great company they're from. Mine are from Harald deathwolf's so they are red ( It shows it in book). You might think it was yellow cause so many people play reagnar blackmanes's company.

I just decided what to use! A land speeder storm with a unit of 5 scouts. Seargent has a power weapon and melta bombs and either a missile launcher or heavy bolter. With the last 15 points should I buy melta bombs for my tac squads or use a fancy gun for the scout seargent?
