I'm curious to know about what height a gun tower should be...
I've seen the various terrain pieces and buildings that are 3 stories tall, but I wanted to try making a tower for a sniper or heavy weapons team. My thinking is to make the top platform big enough to fit 4-5 models. The issue is how tall to make the tower scaffolding. I'm thinking the height should be about 5-6 inches.
My math is 28mm is roughly 6ft. An observation tower is 24ft. So 6 times 4 is 24ft, so easy math says 30mm times 4 is 120mm or roughly 5 inches.
This seems more like a box than a tower... should I narrow it to hold 2 models or just a 60mm base?

Come on, guys! Let's being a little more friendly to the guy who's had all of 2 posts on the forums.
I would put the size of a 3 story tower at about 7-8 inches. I wouldn't worry about being too strict with the scale, since several models have strange proportions. I would maybe make a paper mock-up and simply adjust it until it looks 'right' to you.

You can all ways make the top bigger than the scaffolding.
It's an easy way to put more models on the top with out using more space on the scaffolding.
