Hi everyone, as you can see I'm new to Dakka, having lurked in the dim shadows of non membership for about 3 months now i decided that I would have to join the forums properly.

However there's a catch: a lot of the forum based websites i've signed up to I've left within a couple of weeks because they were either boring or the users were 'aggresive'. Despite being an unusual member of the 'youth' community i.e. i don't listen to rap, most pop songs or tinchy strider, (don't ask me who he is because I don't know or want to know) I still occasionally have a short attention span so would like to know what sort of things are great about this place and also why I should stay here.

As far as wargaming goes, I have two main armies, 2500 (at a stretch) points of Eldar, 1500 (again, using most units and upgrades) points of Tau and two squads of space marines that I keep exclusively for painting as I am of the rather biased opinion that SM are one of the most overpowered armies in the Entire 40k Universe, but don't get me started on that. Besides, I still beat the space marine players at my local club so maybe i'm being a little unfair.

Thanks to all the people who have the patience to read all that, it looks really stupid now I've read it

Heheh, thanks all, I think I'll stay here for a while at least. At least until I can get rid of that 'flower picking Eldar Youth' tag below my name. I don't know what I was expecting when I picked 'path of the aspect warrior', it certainatly wasn't that! Whats next, 'Grouchy Eldar Adolescent'?:

You got it exactly!
Its like when I chose Black Legion...I was a happy Imperial Citizen. Next step up was sacrifice....
Anyway, or you more intrested in fluff or ripping apart armies?

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."

Mostly gaming, so I probably won't get involved in any major arguments about fluff etc, at least until I work out exactly who is supposed to be bashing/shooting/possessing who and when these said events happened. I know a bit of fluff but only what any gamer knows after 4 years of the hobby.

Currently my 'take all comers' 1000 points list consists of footslogging Saim-Hann (in fact the only thing that has red on it is the Farseer) Eldar that have pretty much obliterated all armies that have come their way. I live in a pretty obscure area, with no real tournaments anywhere near which makes it difficult for me to try my army and tactics against any really good gamers so I dont actually know whether my list is any good, maybe I'll post it on the army list forum and see what people think.
