Reaper is probably my favorite fantasy miniature maker, and probably the only company that's even less shameless than GW when it comes to ripping off other games/movies/whatever.

http://www.reapermini.com/

I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to play a Platapus Magic User but just could not find the right figure.

Dragonman, apparently the hot new D&D race.

Speaking of... This is the Dragonman conversion kit, a pretty clever idea really since there are so many human figures you can work off of. Might be useful to Salamander and Lizardman players too.

Funny thing is this is exactly what I look like IRL.

Whoa! Half lobster mutant pirate captain! Where do they get their ideas!

It's um... a um... uh... moving along...

At last a figure I can use as Drisset DoUntothem my Lawful Good Drow warrior and completely original concept!

A modern witch. The skimpy outfit is so that she can tap into the mystical forces of the air, it's totally realistic if you read my 88 page essay on the magical system...

Am I crazy or is taht one of the funky aliens from the 80s Legion of Superheroes run?

And finally....

Their annual Christmas Succubus. I usually get one for my sister the Goth Lawyer.

Keeping it classy Reaper! Keeping it classy!

Kid, I look forward to every Reaper release not so much for the figs as for your commentary.

The Studio Gibli platypus is friggin' killing me.

You know, Reaper's wide variation in styles is really refreshing, actually. From the Rackham-looking monkey caster and Dark Elf to the silly 70's alien, they go in lots of different directions. Dunno if it's a working business model, but it sure is amusing/cool.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Hmmm, only two of those look like Warlord figs. One Razig's Revenge (I never really liked them) and an elf? I wasn't aware the Darkspawn or Elf lines needed a new figure. Especially not one as crazy skinny as that sissy.

It's less than $10. Is that REALLY worth prison time for you? I'm sure every Dakka member can give you a half a penny so you can avoid the slammer.

I have always thought they had cool minis. I heard they came up with some game that nobody plays so that they can have an excuse to make all these minis.

I wonder if that Dragonman convo kit could be combined with coldones to make Eldar exodite jetbikes???
Also, how have I been able to enjoy wargaming for all these years without having a platypus wizard all geared up for his holiday in central Poland?

The elf's for the upcoming Dark Elf faction for the Savage North expansion. I haven't been in on the playtesting for them, but I'm told they're supposed to be closer to the "traditional" style of drow/dark elf, as opposed to Darkspawn who are creepy mutant demon worshippers.

I don't suppose it would be possible to host these images somewhere else? Work blocks Reaper's site :(

I will however go out on a limb and say "Wow, I love their models so much, even though I don't really play fantasy anything anymore." I own SO many of their models I will likely never have a use for, just because they are cool.

I always like getting them for PCs for D&D. The WotC pre-paints are fine for monsters and NPCs, but give me a nice detailed metal fig for my own character.
