So the hellblades are going slower than expected. School, 2 jobs, a really nasty breakup and such have reallly taken up my time. I found paper templates and plan on making the top half of the starfighter cockpits off them and also making an OG hellblade out of these too. One sponson on the MK2 Land raider iss complated but i lost the second! i also got my MK1 land raider from ebay yesterday! it's soaking in simple green right now and willl be painted as kahdors land raider, collected visions Page 155, its a grey/green WB land raider with a giant banner and slaves on the side chained to the hull


im also contemplating making something bigger with 3d renders and a 3d printer... hmm?

Looking forward to it Although I must encourage you to halt the use of gold on word bearers....I don't believe they ever use gold...Only various iron colors...

True and normally i would agree with you! but... look at collected visions, the HH art books, some entire squads have gold trim and are WB, i checked haha... but sor simplicity my champions have gold shoulder trim, thats it.

@tipios: no no i have done little work on them, i've been focusing on painting and completing my army before i work on APOC stuff.


Update. I will post pics when i can, i have my camera at my side but not my USB cable, i fully painted 3 out of 4 rhinos, i also began painting my 3 defilers, 2 greater deamons and another prince. School, internships etc make it a hassle but 4 people at the trendy coffee shop in my town have gotten into 40k and i've been jumping on recruiting them. I also am 90% done with the modeling of ym MK2 land raider, need to finish one sponson and fill some gaps, I also attained a RT era land raider and i have completed modeling it, just on to painting.


ALSO: i have began modeling a techno-organic deamon/dark mechanicus army. I have 10 bloodletters, 22 plague bearers, 2 GD's, 3 DP's and 8 flamers, but i am also in the works to make weird mono-wheeled fiends, half bike half creature bloodcrushers (though im tepted to actually buy crushers for this... but i lack the $) they will be back side chaos bikes, but the front wheel is gone, i have replaced it by a cut version of the lanr raider sponson holster which fits perfectly into place. It will be a wheel in the back, crawling hulking monstrosity in the front

Psst, dude. I might hi-jack your thread sometime soon. I painted up a BEAUTIFUL Land Raider in Lorgar's sacred colors that I need to show off. I wrote hundreds of lines of text all over it, while obviously keeping it chaos with spikes and daemonic heads, etc.

Pics soon! Also, my unit of word bearers terminators are coming along well, so I'll post some WIP shots

To the paint-o-philes: im so sorry but i've yet to paint anything new really!

But everyone else: Boy do i have news for you!

Two Dreadclaws are almost completed and just need a bottom and paint, i need ideas on how to make the bottom hatch! (i will post pictures later on today i promise!)

Basically, i've mentioned that i'd like to make a deamon army no? Well i've gone about constructing one. It is dark mechanicus, as stated above i will also take wip pics of some of these units but until then here is a general rundown of how my dark admech will be produced.


CHAOS DEAMONS-DARK MECHANICUS
Undivided units: Bear little difference to loyal Admech, the colors may be a bit obscured, some chaotic overtones, but nothing to ridiculous, possibly a chaos star or mutation here and there.
MOK, Magos Metallurgicus: These Units will be human in nature, but have a substantial amount of armor and modifications to them, in the sense that they are a mix of tech and genetic alterations, think a half cyborg hulk with an axe
MOT, Magos Physic: With Dark Admech, this will be represented as either units that have recently gone rouge and have had sporatic mutations or possibly possessed units, they may look perfectly normal but may show signs of possession like glowing eyes or other subtle notes. High ranking units may simply be a bizzare hybrid of mech knowledge and sorcerey from the time spent so close to the warp and warp energies, think Dr Doom
MON, Magos Biologis: Mechanicus like to expirement no? Welll why not use slaves for their expirements! These units will show a techno-organic vibe and look as though they can take a hit. Some may be decaying or badly injured but still on their feet, this is a sign that either their genetic modifications lack a pain receptor or that most of their vital functions have been replaced by tech and they have little need for their organic parts anymore.
MOS, Magos Cybernetica: These units will not show too much resilience since most of the robots from times past are all but destroyed, these units are generally lightweight and are exlusivley units that are 70%+ non-organic, the possibility of mutation or possession from the warp is still available! High ranking magi with this mark may be robots themselves, but with the ranking/modification system in the mechanicum these will most likely be heavily augmented magi riding in some sort of suit or mobile platform, think walking throne/platform/half robot mix
• Greater Deamons: Secutors Of various degrees
o Certain GD’s (and possibly Names GD’s): A fabricator General of sorts, Possibly Kelbor-Hal
• Heralds:
o MOT: Magos Physic
 Riding on a larger-than-disk device
 Possibly a renovated imperial land speeder storm
 Some sort of recovered xenos tech
 Something totally different, either a stolen STC or completely unique
 Rider will be a possessed magi or a sorcerer/magi mix, if the vehicle has crew they will be infused within the cockpit
• MOS: Magos Cybernetica
 These one’s will be riding in suits, possible a mini gundam?
 Will try not to make them totally robotic, that would hint at resilience
 Maybe a mobile throne like the inquisitor but with a look of speed?
 Make the current KOS I have more tech, or possibly cover up the arms/replace completely (bad idea)
 Think walking platform the trade federation leader uses in EP I
• MOK:Undiceded, most likely brawny big hulky things with robot parts
• MON: I probably won’t make any of these. If I do I will need to think about them
• Flamers: DONE! These are servo skulls with flame attatchments/flamers being held by servo skulls, Floating servitors=BOT
• Fiends: These puppies are going to be one of two things. Praetorians no matter (on lexicanum they mention two different units with the same title that are vastly different, leads me to believe the term is somewhat broad, but essentially elite) Either A: A robot like unit that’s sleek, tough, and fast, think those mini tripods from HL2 or the tracked one’s but wich a chaotic feel and replacing the guns for blades, possible mutations on organic upper torso.
• Bloodcrushers: May also be Praetorians too a certain degree, but I’ve thought of these being essentially a lesser form of Secutor, Possibly on sentinel or Dreadnaught legs these techno/organic monstrosities should be big, tough, but not as tall as a modern DP or a GD, they do have 2 wounds afterall.
• Plague Bearers: These are my slave servitors, these puppies are essentially slaves that are being led by a former and more indoctrinated slave. The leader will always have either a whip, vox caster, or both. The icon will be a slave with a comm backpack with antennae. These servitors are mostly decrepit and have large robotic arms usually ending in a clumsy but powerful cc weapon
• Horrors: These guys will essentially be Traitor Guard, Some will be slaves that weren’t thrown into the servitor pit, some will be essentially skitarii, some will be a recently inducted traitor guard squad, possibly with new add ons by their new overlords. These units will have signs that something isn’t all right about them, One unit may be torn and tattered and look almost invulnerable in their own right, like flagellans with lasguns, Others will be similar to skitarii but show some mutations or glowing eyes, about to burst, insane, etc. The BOT will be a servitor with a heavy gun attached to it, each one unique.
• Bloodletters: IDK yet, brawler types? More genetic alreration like a SM without armor
• Deamonettes: IDK yet, light robot? Crusader Variant
• Seekers: See above, possibly robitic bikes with a grenade launcher or smoke launchers somewhere on it
• Hounds: See above, more of a tough feel/less fast, poissibly quads?
• Screamers: Rockets with tesla coil projectors, essentially
• Soul Grinders: This will be a document all its own
• DP’s: I already have numerous DP’s and two would fit nicely in but only in the form of allies, surley dark mechanicus may call on the use of a rouge DP or an ally in time of need! I may consider creating new princes that will essentially be techmarines that have turned traitor, fell victim to the oblitorator virus, and went insane.
o If I go this route, they will all be iron warriors.

P.s: Since The Word Bearers have a manufactorum world in the maelstrom and have worked closley with dark mechanicus before i plan on making them as though they are working with the word bearers, possibly a mini crusade.

I think one guy from the 2nd book holding a vortex grenade and an arm from the missle launcher kit. likr in the plasma gun stance if its gonna go boom!!!!!

One of the black legion gave the rogue tech priest a vortex grenade and the ship commander went mental that he had it.

Legio Psy? Hm, Maybe reverting that to a Magi stumbling upon (or being given as you said) something a little more xenos, im thinking a cosmic cube as per Marvel comics? odd idea but hey! seems interesting!

That was the 3rd book sorry, 2nd book was steelers and Dark Elder.

If it's for a daemon army, maybe try a "MAW", otherwise a square cut into 4 triangles, and make hinges. Have you left the bottom open for now? I want to make 1 of these in the future, but havn't got the kit yet, so not sure of what you have to work with.

That Dreadclaw pod solution is really good. I'm going to have to copy/plagueify that, if you don't mind. REAL Space Marines have pods that can take off again. (I've always wondered how/if the loyalists recover theirs...)

Say, Ironfront- given your excellent developing Chaos airforce, would you be interested in helping to playtest/develop some better flyer rules for 40K? I'm working on a set right now and would appreciate the help, especially if pics of awesome airforces can be rounded up for the final .pdf version. PM me if you'd like a copy, please. And either way, those flyers are great- looking forward to seeing the finished product!

I am not done with my hell talons yet! and i haven't even begun on the hell blades! But when i do i will! Summer of flyers is soon and you can PM me with any ideas you have.
