Suddenly, the darkened and silent Biel-Tan Craftworld Awakens with a shout of triumph from the warhost. The last of the Tyranid creatures and spores has been cleansed from within its body and the rituals of the Young King have been completed. A Psychic War Cry can be heard throughout the surrounding sectors as the Biel-Tan Lead by their Avatar and Farseer Danu first re-enforce their numbers and the move to the Eye of Terror to strike at the Tainted Marines.

"Are you Sure About this, Danu." Asked Lugh
"The Strands of Fate are indeed complex and mysterious, but this is the path that was shown to me." replied the Farseer.
Inwardly she reflects upon the Eldars role in the coming days and the price that will be demanded by their allies in order to secure peaceful passage of all craft worlds. Pensively, Danu shakes her head.

High Lord Nicholai roared at his subordinates in anger. The Raven Guard had escaped! What was supposed to be a swift and merciful strike at their heart by the IG was proven impossible with the swift actions of the Chapter Master, who had fled after the first shots had been exchanged with the Cadians. The Vostroyans had proved too cumbersome to get into position on time, leaving a gap open, through which the Raven Guard fleet had managed to scrape through, leaving the Vostroyans to deal with the Ork and Chaos alliance in the sector.

Nicholai slunk into his command throne. He could only hope that his newfound Eldar allies could finish the Raven Guard off quickly. Before they came back with avengance.

A plea had reached the ears of the Captain, a request of a shared hunt, the hunt of the Zandros Strike Force. The request would not fall on deaf ears, he was a patient man his revenge on Ulthwe could wait. A nod to his faithful Lieutenant was all that was needed, the Astartes spun on his heel and marched from the bridge, his cloak of tattered flesh flaring out behind him.

The Strike Cruiser shook softly in protest as its warpdrives fired up, its machine spirit for the moment not understanding the change in prey. Then with a new found understanding slipped into the aether.

Deathclaw Drop pods streaked from the Strike Cruiser towards the Wraithbone craftworld of Iyanden, smashing easily through the battle damaged vessel. Roughly half of the 14th Company disgorged themselves from their transports into the darkness. A smile crept across the Lieutenant's helmeted face, the dark would be as much a powerful ally in this as the Orks and Red Corsairs. Weapons in hand he signaled for his chosen to follow, issuing only a command to his armor. "Preysight."

"NO!", was the only reply Danu spoke but a Long rebuke for questioning her authority resonated throughout crystaline structures as she telepathically gave him the orders. Angrily Lugh bowed, his body language stiff. He then turned to the most promising of his warriors and gave the suprising command."Lelldorin, Call forth the Host. We move against the agents of Chaos for Glory of Khaine and the Biel-Tan, Attack."

Slaughter Lord Shamanos sat in his very own skull throne. The crimson gloom on the bridge mirrored his blood lust. A Zandros envoy stood before him unshackled and weaponless. She was stripped of her soul stone and obviously expected death. The message she delivered had been surprising and had stayed Lord Shamanos' hand.

"Return it to its vessel." He would not speak directly to a xenos.

The expression of shock of the xenos face turned to despair at the next command.

"Input attack vector to Zandros, we shall bleed them them in the name of the Red King!"

Scant seconds after the envoy departed thunder and explosions buffeted Shamanos and his vessel.

"Blood and skulls! Who brings us our sacrament?" Shamanos roared.

A hideous slave with horns sprouting from his head answered. "Lord of Slaughter, I count two separate Eldar fleets firing upon us, a third is moving to strike. It appears much of the sector are moving to target us."

"Praise be! Kharnath has delivered." he chuckled

"Concentrate on Zandros. I shall lead the boarding party personally."

The fact that the IG (or just admiral-bell) betrayed the eldar is a little disheartening.

Even if it was just admiral-bell, I was under the impression that EF and AB were close allies, who were, y'know, on the same page.

High Lord Nicholai growled as he watched the last remnants of the Raven Guard burn. They had died as they had lived; in a useless futile gesture reminiscent of a bygone era. This was not going as planned. Cadia had inexplicably turned on the Eldar, yet had continued to attack the Raven Guard as well. It made no sense, unless a dark deal had been struck with the Orks and Chaos. No, impossible. Cadia had defended the Eye of Terror for millenium, why turn now? Perhaps the Biel-Tan had merely been cuaght in the crossfire. Nevertheless, Nicholai ordered a warning shot to be fired at the Cadians. Hopefully they would come to their senses, but should things turn sour he would have to trust the Eldar to watch his back. And trust that they wouldn't be the ones to slink a knife into it.

"betrayed" is a bit strong - I had it coming.

From what I've seen, the Imperials really haven't been a team in this game. The post-game recap will be interesting.
