Wow. That's wicked. You really stepped up on your painting for sure. I just went to look at a CSM, to hold in my hand. It's easy to critique something when it is 5X or larger. In 'real scale' that amount of freehand detail is amazing. Very well done.

@borneo424 - thanks

I've got distracted again, this time with inquisitors:

I want to improve my GS skills, so the main thing I want to do is a cloak.

Onto the cloak.

First I cut a square piece of of GS. Pinned it to one side then pulled it round to the other. Left arm helps hold it in place.

While the GS goes off I've place it over my shapers, to help it form the ripples.

As the GS cures more, I started curling it up.

It takes a lot of patience to keep moving the GS around while it hardens so it stays the way you want it.

Very nice work on the cloak! So, that's done with just GS? I've seen people use aluminum goil as a base for cloaks and such....

Well, that's impressive! I know how painful it is to sculpt a GS cloak, and you did a great job.

Thanks YB, yes it's GS and took about 2 hours I thin. Whats this Aluminum goil, have you any links? Oh wait maybe it's foil?

I guess the =][= is above the law anyway, but you'd think there would be residual taint on the items.

But using the rule of cool, you have it all the way! Looks good.

Yes, aluminum FOIL. Stupid iPad.
Can't seem to find the example right now, but the idea is that you cut a piece of foil and then spread GS on it. The foil gives you a flexible base to hold the GS, which you can then bend and shape as you want. When the GS cures, you peel off the foil, and you have your cloak, etc.

I'm a bit late to jump on the "I didn't expect..." meme, but I'm still in time to laud great praise on your GS cloak! Excellent work, really like the "whoosh!" action pose. As always, great things come from the mind and hands of tipios!
