And pray tell, how exactly do you make Tyranids have biological projectile weapons without them looking phallic??

The old daemonettes were by far better. I honestly think they took off the "boobies" to make them more acceptable to parents to buy for younger gamers.

For some reason they took the idea of SoB, and instead of continuing the "Nuns with Guns line, they decided they all have to be kinky arse nuns who are into S&M and bondage. Fail.

I also love the dark Eldar flyer. It looks exactly like what it's supposed to be, a more viscous version of Eldar flyers. Which if you look at the ones from Forgeworld (which are also the ones from Epic), that's what it is without a doubt. I friggin' want one to be a stand-in for a Night Wing Interceptor in my Eldar Corsairs. Certainly a damn lot cheaper, lol.

Forgeworld Nightwing Interceptor. At about $105 (US), you can buy two of the DE flyers :

Hey! I just started a sob army! Still, see your point. The old sob models make me nostalgic, though. Most old stuff do, but the older IG like valhallans or mordians have terrible looking lasguns...

I wish they would do new vallhallan IG. If they did I would pick them up in a heart beat. I would use Commisar Cain as my HQ. And of course, I would have his trusty aid Jurgen at his side. That would be an awesome army to do. ONLY IF THEY WOULD!

GW should do some kind of generic IG with trenchcoats/heavy coats with separate sprues for valhallans and steel legion...

I recall an article in WD once criticising conversions where an arm is raised to throw something with no corresponding movement in the shoulder. I find that rich coming from GW where nobody seems to have an appreciation of anatomy, e.g. the whole SM range where part of the induction process seems to be dislocation of the hips and usually the shoulders too. I also struggle with the horrendously ugly ogryns. What is that single tombstone sticking out his mouth supposed to do? Why is he carrying a small furry animal under his right arm? What injury did he suffer to mess up the musculature round his left shoulder so badly?

Why is he carrying a small furry animal under his right arm?

Wh40K Compendium, 1989

"Most Ogryns are infested with parasites of various types and sizes, and certain species are actively cultivated as pets and emergency food stores. Some of these are very large- the Scorathian Armpit Louse, for instance, is the size of a Terran rat, and is bred and traded among the Ugglob Ogryns and other with whom they have contact. Races and fights involving these creatures are a common off-duty pursuit."

What, I totally disagree. I love the new DE models, but each to their own, I suppose...

Personally, I can't stand the Cadians, as they just look so god damned red-neck! Ahh!

Also, I hate the Independant Characters in those stupid poses.

Oh yeah, and those stupid SW riding wolves. Its painfully corny.

I'm surprised no one has said Abaddon. I love the character, and his unit in the game, but his model is just terrible. The finecast version is many steps forward but I wish they would've just re-sculpted him instead.

I really, really hate what the daemonettes turned into. Especially since I never picked up the last edition ones when I had the chance.

Loads of people will hate me for this, but I have to say this...

Spoiler:

Possibly one of the drabbest, least detailed and least dynamic character model in 40K. Not only is it horribly boring, it is completely out of regular human anatomy, even by GW standards. Look at the scar and the cheek bones. The legs are also awfully short. What a shame. The rest of the chapter masters look great.

Your opinion is wrong.

I got some recently to start a space pirate army. I am amazed at how silly the arms look. It's like they are wearing muscle suits.
